Car description

Up for bid is our 1990 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Station Wagon. It is a very nice driver, and is only used for occasional weekend cruising, trips to the shore, and movies at the drive in. A mechanically sound vehicle that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere. It has never let me down in over seven years of ownership.

Current mileage is 135,788.

Engine is the 5.0 L (307 cu in) Oldsmobile V8.

Transmission is a 4-speed Turbo Hydramatic 200-4R automatic with overdrive.

The tan cloth interior is very nice - no rips or tears and the headliner is original and nearly perfect.

There is an aftermarket (Panasonic) am/fm/cd/usb stereo, but I also have the original radio.

The white exterior paint is original and shows it's age but looks pretty good from ten feet away.

The vinyl 'woodgrain' also shows it's age, and some segments have peeled (thank you car wash) and faded considerably, particularly on the tailgate.

There is only minor surface rust here and there; nothing major and certainly no holes. The undercarriage is solid and so is the well for the spare tire.

No major dings or body damage ever.

The wheels are GM estate wagon aluminum wheels with Buick center caps.

The Cooper tires have some life left.

The car is very well optioned, including -

- 6 way power driver ~and~ passenger front seats

- cruise control

- tilt wheel

- luggage carrier

- rear window defogger

- turning lights

- lamp indicators

- remote driver and passenger mirrors (driver's side is broken)

I think it has every option available in 1990 except the somewhat rare gauge pack and auto-leveling system.

Oil has been changed every three thousand miles. Four new Wix oil filters included.

Also included are a new front bumper rubber insert (GM part # 22519607) and a centerlink that I got from the previous owner.

Drives great, runs smooth, and stops straight. A couch on wheels.

Please look at the pictures closely. I have tried to capture the good as well as the not so good.

Flaws -

- The speedometer is noisy and jumpy at low speeds, especially when it is cold.

- The gas gauge reads high. I fill it when it shows a quarter tank.

- The a/c does not work. It was evacuated and charged with R134a in the summer of 2017 and worked great but since then it has lost pressure, so there must be a leak. Otherwise I believe the a/c components to be ok.

- The heater is warm but not hot. The heater core was recently flushed and flows free so I don't think that's the problem, but can't rule that out, either.

- The remote toggle to control the driver's side mirror 'fell' out. I just adjust the mirror at the mirror itself.

- The rear bumper filler has hardened and cracked out of existence.

- The rear window can be sluggish and sometimes needs hands-on assistance to close completely.

I welcome and encourage a personal inspection if you can. Please contact me via ebay if this is something you would like to arrange.

It is registered and insured, and I still drive it from time to time, so the mileage may increase a little.

No inspections or haggling after the auction closes.

This is a 19 year old vehicle and is being sold strictly as is and where is. No guarantees of any kind.

Please only bid if you are serious.

Transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. Quick pickup is appreciated.

I can work with your shipper if you choose to send one over.

Zero feedback bidders must contact me first via ebay messaging, otherwise your bid will likely be cancelled.

A $100 deposit is expected via PayPal within 24 hours of auction's close. Balance must be in cash at time of pick up. Both of us must sign the title and a bill of sale on pickup.

Questions are of course welcome. I will answer all email as quickly as possible.

Thanks for looking!
