1986 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon -

(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)
Multiple family vacations may have been taken over the years in this Custom Cruiser by a family with a familiar name. No, not The Griswolds, although a long trip to Wally World would surely be possible in this car. This car was purchased new in April of 1986 by Adolph Coors. That's right, the name synonymous with beer. Unlike the famous beer, this car was not "born in the rockies" but like a Coors can the exterior is shiny, and has a silver and red color scheme.
Kids always want to sit in the rear facing seats accessed by opening the swinging rear door. The rear facing seat gives a different vantage point of the road as you head to your destination. Much like looking out of the back windows of the school bus, minus all the other kids and the lingering smell of diesel fumes. Multiple sayings mention that you should always look ahead in life, and not what is behind you. In the case of this wagon, looking at what is behind you is fun.
Unlike the famous beer, this car was not "Born in the Rockies" but like a Coors can, the exterior is shiny, and has a silver and red color scheme. The car was repainted years ago, and is now finished in two tone Silver Metallic and dark red metallic. The exterior is finished with the usual trim - roof rack, chrome grille, and chrome bumpers. Alloy wheels taken off a GM light truck take the place of the steel wheel and basket weave wheel covers that would've been on the car originally.
The dark red interior, while highly original shows age in a few small places but this is to be expected in a 34 year old car. The seating surfaces, carpeting, and headliner look great, and a JVC CD player has been added. This car is ready for road trips with the family, or trips out for ice cream with the grandkids!
