1991 MUSTANG SSP GEORGIA STATE PATROL

This is a completely restored rare 1991 Mustang LX SSP used by the Georgia State Patrol. It was used by Post Commander James Eberhart and was the only documented known decommissionedunit '87-'93 that had no roof mount Edge lightbar. The restoration is an accurate one as to how the car was equipped in service with GSP. Documentation, Marti report, real GSP license plate, Trooper hat and display items come with the car. The next to last photo is an in service pic of the car.
INTERIOR: The interior was completely re-done with correct cloth from SMS Upholstery. The non cruise steering wheel was recovered with leather. It has the correct AM-FM radio that works. Power windows and locks work fine. A/C is R134 and ice cold. All gauges work fine. Speedo is off 4-5 mph. It has the 160 mph calibrated Police speedometer. No rips or tears in the seats...and no fading. Rear defroster works fine. Rear shelf is new. There is a crack on the driver rear interior panel near door opening..a used replacement is included..will need painting (see last pic). Door panels have new door map pockets.
EXTERIOR: The car was re-painted the correct GSP colors. A hole in the roof where a lightbar was installed by a previous owner was filled in and roof repainted so car is correct as in service. Rear bumper is correct Twilight blue per build sheet. Quarter windows were replaced with NOS Carlite windows. All trim and seals were replaced or freshened. I drive this car to shows and there are some chips in the front end and lower valance touched up. All wheels were correctly refinished and no curb rash.
MECHANICAL: Brakes are excellent and has a new brake booster. Tires are Goodyears and are 1/2 worn. Alignment is good. Oil is changed every year with Mobil 1 10w-40 and a FL-300 filter. Police oil cooler is there. Police external transmission oil cooler is there. Ford radiator. Heater works fine. It has a 135 amp Lestek Police alternator that was rebuilt and a new Motorcraft voltage regulator. Has a non Motorcraft battery. Newer NGK spark plugs, cap, rotor, coil and TFI module. Coolant was refilled in 2017. Power steering flushed in 2016. Struts, shocks and kickers were replaced. There is a 'slight seep' from the rear main seal..fairly common on 5.0's. Rear diff is fine. Steering is fine. Car passed NH State Inspection. Cats are there. Has Dynomax Stainless tailpipes. No engine lights of any kind on. Runs cool. Great oil pressure.
Police Equipment: I have a permit letter from the GSP for the lettering and emblems. I suggest new buyer also get one in their name. All equipment functions except radio. Correct Whelen switch panel. Lights and siren will be disconnected per Ebay rules. Has correct GSP custom made radio stand mount. Radar functions. It has a Police GE Ranger radio head used by GSP in metro areas. I have been told this probably had a Police Motorola radio. I have the correct Motorola Radio head and mic if you wish to change over. All markings MUST be covered when operating this car on the road. I have driven this car to Texas, Indiana and Kansas City with no issues. FOLLOW local and State law when operating the vehicle.
This car has been a three time MCA Grand National GOLD award winner in the Occasional Driven Class. Just did it again at the MCA Grand National in NH this past week. It has placed in the Top 3 in my local Mustang Car Club of New England the past two years. To be clear..I drive this car to shows. It is NOT a trailer Queen. But it is in excellent condition.
This is professionally restored car. It is in great condition and just needs a new owner.
The car will be sold with a Bill of Sale and ownership transferred with a current NH registration. NH does not require titles on cars older than 2000....and there is no NH title. I have the title from the previous owner in Alabama.
