Your chance to own a piece of Washington State history … this rare 1966 Ford Custom 4 door sedan is the real thing … not a clone … original drive train still in place:
· 428 “P Code” V8 Police Interceptor Engine (Original features different from the “Q Code” civilian 428 include aluminum intake manifold, mechanical valve lifters, high rise valve covers, Holley 750cfm 4-barell carburetor)
· --- C6 Automatic Transmission
· --- 9” Ford Rearend
· --- Power Disc Brakes
· --- Original Washington State Police sticker still in place
· --- Certified Calibration sticker still on pace on the speedometer … speedometer calibrated with 2 mph tick marks, compared to the 5 mph tick marks on the civilian speedometer.
· --- 97,000 miles
This Washington State Patrol car underwent a major restoration between 2104 and 2016. New interior (seats, door panels, headliner, dash), new fenders, doors, hood and trunk. New trunk pan installed. Then repainted in a standard black and white patrol car configuration. New carburetor, alternator, radiator, calipers, rotors, pads, brake lines, wheel cylinders, Flowmaster 50 series mufflers, Toyo black wall tires. Rebuilt C6 transmission. New electronic siren and original, rebuilt Beacon Ray red light are totally functional.
Won “Best Emergency Vehicle” award at the 2017 Cruising with the Cops event in Post Falls, Idaho (yes, made the trip from Seattle to Idaho and back just fine). Magnetic signage included to make it street legal and parade ready!
