Car description

Here is an excellent condition 1993 LX 5.0 liter hatchback, Electric Red, original 5 speed manual transmission. Late production of 7/93 making this one of the last Foxes ever built. Until November 2016 this was a one owner car, lovingly modified and meticulously maintained and garage kept. I purchased the car which had only been driven about 500 miles in the last 10 years, only to inspection and to have any maintenance done. The car is in beautiful condition inside and out. It is original paint except for the Cervinis Storman Norman Ram Air hood and Cervinis Stacked Rear Wing. All the original VIN tags are properly in place on the inner fenders, front bumper, bottom of the doors, hatch and trunk. The black door frame trim was repainted under warranty early in the cars life and there is a bit of overspray on the inside of the doors. Let me list the additions/modifications to the car and then tell you what I have done since I got it.Kenne Bell 1.5 Twin Screw supercharger, producing around 6-7 psi.The rest of the motor is bone stock. Perfectly functioning boost and fuel pressure gauges located in A-pillar.Ceramic coated shorty headers, custom X pipe with welded in high flow cats to what I believe is a Flowmaster catback exhaust.Kenne Bell ram air induction, which gets its air through the hood vent for a TRUE cold air induction.Baer 12" disks and big calipers at all four corners with the brake bias proportioning valve under the hood. Stainless braided brake lines.A host of suspension mods from Maximum Motorsports and Griggs including:full length subframe connectors, panhard bar, torque arm, Koni shocks and struts (adjustable fronts), Eibach springs, strut tower brace.Pro 5.0 shifter, 3.73 gear set.Fuel pressure and boost pressure guages in A-pillar, function perfectly.ROH ZR6 wheels, staggered 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 with four brand new BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2 tires, sized 275/40 and 245/45. These wheels are unobtanium these days. A small amount of clearcoat wear on the wheels. Slight rub from the tires at full steering lock and under full compression on driver rear but they look so good that you wont care. The fender lips were professionaly rolled to accomodate the wheels. Car has a very aggresive stance and looks tough. It rides a lot smoother than you would imagine with all those mods and handles like no other Fox I have ever had, and I have had probably 15 at least. It drives straight, no wobbles, shakes or anything odd.Since I got it I have done the following: Changed oil using Mobil 1. The oil that came out was clean. Changed trans fuid and diff fluid using Royal Purple, again, the old oil was in great shape. The tires were new but dry rotted, so it got new BFG's. I called Kenne Bell and ordered their specific supercharger oil and changed it out, the oil that came out looked like the oil that went in. Ordered the proper heat range spark plugs and gapped per K.B. specs. OEM Ford fuel and oil filters used. The interior is in excellent shape, there is a wear spot on the drivers seat, it is not a hole, just an area where the tweed has worn open revealing the black cloth under it. There are a few minor carpet stains, nothing terrible. The carpet as a whole is in excellent condition. The floor mats are brand new ACC. No funny smells, non smoker. Smells like a Fox body..The air is ice cold and the heat is hot. The stock radio functions perfectly and all the light and horn work, one tiny guage cluster light is out on the bottom left of the cluster. The car has an aftermarket alarm/keyless entry which functions perfectly. This car was obviously put together with no expense spared and lovingly taken care of. The original owner is in his late 60's. He used the car as a daily for a few years and then built it slowly, doing the suspension work first. According to the milege/date reports from the state inspection records corresponding with the dates from the receipts, I estimate the Kenne Bell has only been on the car for around 10k miles. He basically built it and then put it away. He also had the car weighed at the corners to help set up the brakes and suspension and also torqued the wheel lugs to spec. All the dated receipts, carfax report and yearly state inspection docs prove the mileage as accurate.I always descibe everything as best I can, so I will point out any flaws I know of. The car has 68,000 miles so expect some rock chips and minor sratches. Slight brake pulsation, not bad enough to turn rotors in my opinion and I am pretty picky. Every once in a while, car will idle high for a few seconds when coasting down from cruising speed; very infrequent. On the passenger door, there is a spot where it looks like there was a door ding pulled out. There are no other dings or dents I know of. I have not detailed under the hood. It could use it but I dont like spraying water in there. When I went to see the car, it was dusty from sitting. It needed nothing more than a wash and the water beeded up when I did it, revealing an amazing finish. The steering wheel is about 5 degrees off center. The drivers seat has a slight lean in it as many of them do. The windows were never tinted and all glass is original. The moldings around the windows are nearly perfect. There is no paint fading anywhere. No rust on top or underneath. One tiny area on driver door, bottom corner bubling under paint. Both doors close gently. Passenger door gap is slighly larger than driver door. Door looks original and has factory VIN tag on it. Factory blem, I dont know. See pic, there are paint chips on leading edge of door bottom. This is a great car and has all the right mods by all the right manufacturers. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and also on anyones face who knows what it is. Everytime I park it someone wants to talk about it. The supercharger has a vey subtle whistle at idle and it sounds awesome. This is a rare, no surprises, no dissapointments car. Piles of receipts, owners manual and books. Between the receipts I have and the items I dont have receipts for, I estimate the modifications in the $9000.00 range without labor. I highly recommend you come to see, drive and inspect the car in person. I live close to Ft. Lauderdale airport and will pick you up if you like. This is a major purchase and I am happy to accomodate your needs. I will take the car to a local dealer or shop if you like after you purchase it for an inspection if you would prefer that as long as you arrange and pay for it. There is nothing to hide on the vehicle at all. Please feel free to ask questions or for specific pictures. No photoshop or enhancing was done to the pics. The paint is amazing.$500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of winning bid.Payment will be certified check or cash, period. No paypal for final payment.I am a professional firefighter/paramedic, not looking to rip anyone off. Please see my feedback and most importantly, COME SEE THE CAR!!
