Car description |
---|
This 1971 Volvo P1800 was previously owned by ex-Ford CEO Jacques Nasser and used as one of three corporate headquarters display cars to celebrate the company’s acquisition of Volvo. Fully restored in 2000, t’s said to be in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition and retains its original engine. 50,830 displayed miles are believed to be accurate, nd the car features rare A/C, n automatic transmission, our-wheel disc brakes, nd a very cool color combinationOriginally gold over black, he car was resprayed this Volvo blue at the time of restoration roughly 15 years ago. Passed down through the Nasser family following its time on display, t’s been used minimally since and appears to remain in quite nice condition throughout. Black factory alloys offset the pale blue beautifully, nd we’re always happy to see an 1800 retain its original, legantly swept twin exhaust exits and period style tires.Dove gray leather complements the exterior perfectly, nd all materials including carpets and natural leather luggage straps seem to be very nice quality. Note the equally well appointed trunk with matching floor cover and factory style spare tire cover.Factory-installed A/C blows cold and instruments and switchgear are complete and in good working order. Upholstery has been redone with OEM accurate stitching and details.A tidy engine bay houses the car’s original fuel-injected B20E four cylinder rated at 130 horsepower. Said to be in excellent running order, t benefits from a fuel pump replacement last year. A factory-built automatic car, he car’s original transmission was replaced by a rebuilt unit in 2006. Factory ID tags remain in the engine bay and door jamb and are pictured in the gallery.
