Car description |
---|
At the very least this car needs attention to the following:Contacts, fuses, sensors to be checked for good contact.Exterior paint is faded with multiple dents and some chrome pieces are dented.Interior needs a little upholstery work, driver side door handle, front seats, upper dash pad.Lock and ignition key cylinders need replacement. Sourcing new replacement lock cylinders with keys can be facilitated via Volvo vintage parts retailers.Exhaust system needs at minimum a new rear muffler.
The car is offered for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time unless reserve price has been met.
Buyer is responsible for picking up vehicle after full payment has been deposited.Title is clear, in hand and in my name, the car can in other words be shipped internationally without delay (buyer to arrange). On Jan-03-18 at 17:23:17 PST, seller added the following information:
P180, 1800, 1800E, Jensen
On Jan-04-18 at 10:35:22 PST, seller added the following information:In response to the many questions received of similar nature:
Paint: In my layman opinion it needs to be stripped down and painted.Owner history: AAA office visit confirmed the car was owned by the same owner 1970 - 2017, in the SF Bay Area.Documents:I have not located the maintenance records. A little detective work could probably find which dealer took care of this car, the owner seems to have been serious about this car.The documents in the car indicate it was a factory delivery in Sweden, where the customer travelled there to pick it up:- The AC was installed by the Volvo plant in Sweden, shown by stamp. This was normally done by US dealers on standard US dealer sold cars.- There is a booklet called "With Volvo in Europe", this was handed out to international buyers who took deliver of their car the Volvo plant, allowing them to tour Europe with their new car, before having Volvo ship it to their home country.- The Volvo Historical Archive lists the sale region for this car as Gothenburg, Sweden, it normally says USA for standard US dealer sold cars.Specs:Noteworthy is that this car has a rare combo of the B20E high power motor with the stronger design M41 gearbox. Prior models all had the M410 gearbox, and later models had the less sporty B20F motor.Color code is the iconic 102, interior color code is343-768.Interior: It is in nice shape, not abused, non smoker. Only the front seats are dried out which is typical for dry state cars.
