Car description

NO RESERVE, I WILL NOT END EARLY! HIGHEST BIDDER WINS THIS UNBELEAVABLE VANAGON!

First, This bus belongs to a good friend of mine, and is not mine. I will answer any questions or concerns you might have and will get in touch with him, for anything you ask about that I don’t know! He bought this vanagon from the 2nd owners who started to get this van back on the road after years of sitting in the original owners garage. They got mechanically sound to the point where it was able to be driven and enjoyed again on the road. My buddy owns a paint and body shop where he does a lot of VW restorations and took it from a nice original rust free vanagon to what you see today, a beautifully restored vangon that gets plenty of attention wherever it goes! So here is a little more about it…

1981 Air Cooled Vanagon Camper 2.0 4 speed manual. Researched mileage and the history, have found to be a true 41,000 mile Bus! The bus was bought from the second owner who was in the process of making it road worthy and which he did. Everything new interior and paint and body wise has been done within this past year. New rubbers and canvas for the pop up top. Zippers and netting all in perfect brand new working order. New brakes all around. Seats have been completely reupholstered with brand new old stock “boogie woogie” VW fabric and brown vinyl. All new brown vinyl wrapped panels as well, and even a lil custom 3d “VW” in front headliner. This beautiful Van was sanded down completely smooth and sprayed back to the original VW color it started life as. All PPG base coat clear coat urethane paints. This van is absolutely stunning in person, and will be hard pressed to find another in this good of condition. Tires all the way around are brand new, and wheels look great as well. Like a lot of these older VWs, the gas gauge is acting up and not always working. Have not looked into further to know why. That being said, the fridge and gas stove have not been tampered with in any way, but also have never messed with to see if they work. The previous owner said the bus had sat for some time before they bought and some of the gauges were not working. They had their mechanic who did a lot of the mechanic work to get back on the road replace the cluster. That’s when he added the sticker in the door jam to indicate the van only had 42,361 miles on the odometer when replaced with the new speedometer with 1 mile on 9/06/07. That is why the bus only reads 332 miles on the odometer now. Looking around this bus, you will see that this bus really has spent a majority of its life parked in a garage, and not on the road. This bus is crazy clean, with a lot of the original parts and extras that come with it. All the netting that snap into place when parked and the doors open are in the original carry pack that stores under the back seat. And all of the privacy curtains are intact and with the bus as well, all in excellent shape. If you want to come see the bus before the auction ends, feel free to set up a time with me! My cell is 91O-52O-77five8 and I will do my best to answer any questions you might have! Good luck and happy bidding! I promise to not remove this auction early at any point! NO RESERVE and the highest bidder will take HOME!!!
