Car description |

You are looking at a1979 Volkswagen Karmann Beetle convertible with only 73,065 original miles! This car runs excellent, Transmission shifts smooth, clutch grabs Nice with no slippage...it's a great driver as it sits! You can either enjoy her how she sits or restore...I was told by the last owner that this car was low number off the assembly line which supposedly makes it worth more?
The Convertible top has seen better days...There are several years in it that I have taped up to keep the water out...it's still usable but it's Igly. I am including a new top with instructions for install to whoever purchases the car...Put the top down and it looks great!
The interior also needs attention...the steering wheel is not looking good and the front seat's foam seems non existent...if I was keeping This car I would add seat foam...
The body is decent but there are some rust bubbles/issues please zoom in on pictures...it's drivable how it sits but if your looking for perfection you would be painting it...I would just leave it be and enjoy her how she is...both side skirts are deteriorating from the inside out...I would not stand on them...they eventually will need to be replaced. Again I'm just trying to describe the best I can...you can do nothing and drive how it sits.
The front section where gas tank is nice and solid I see no rust in there at all. The undercarriage looks damm good for a 38 year only car...please look at the pictures. Not showroom but not a rot box either...
This is a no reserve auction so high bidder owns it! I do my best to describe the car as honest as I can. It's a 38 year old car so I am selling it as is no guarantee. I have a title for this vehicle which is rare in itself as cars over 20 years old no longer get titles in Ct. I reserve the right to end this auction as it is advertised locally for sale. Buyer is responsible for transporting the vehicle. I will do my best to assist whatever transporter you use. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at auctions end. The rest of payment is to be cash or wire transfer. I have a few videos of the car and undercarriage that I can text anyone interested 203-592-2478 and would be happy to answer any questions the best I can. ThankYou for looking at the car and good luck...Winning bid owns her!
