Up for auction is a nicely preserved 1966 Volkswagen 13-Window Deluxe Walk Through Bus that retains most of its original finish. This bus came out of the dry state of Wyoming and has held up rather nice. In 2016 this bus received a fresh 1600cc engine as well as a new fuel system. This bus is wearing it's original colors; code L360 Sea Blue & L680 Cumulus White. It's original code 72, Aero Papyrus interior was replaced to what you see now, it is new upholstery. The M Plate is still in its original position and it decodes to: 002 seal beamed headlights 081 split front seats (walk through) 081 LHD Ambulance with loading doors on left 114 6 pop out windows 130 microbus deluxe without sunroof and roof windows 425 north american export package The exterior of this bus has never really been touched with the exception of a few touch ups here and there. It is a very nice body, with little corrosion. There has been some damage on the rear 1/4's of the bus which I have photographed. The bottoms of the driver and passenger doors are rust free, retaining the original metal. There is a little rust on the side door bottoms, specifically the left bottom door. There is also some corrosion on the inner rockers. The 6 pop out windows are all functional, and lock like they should. The factory clock is still present, which is quite rare. The horn is functional. The speedometer is not currently working. The tires are brand new. The engine runs strong, the van shifts well and handles pretty good too.
