Up for auction is my 1994 Subaru WRX. This vehicle has been legally imported from Japan and is registered for road use with a clean Kentucky title. I also have copies of all import documentation (EPA Declaration, DOT Declaration, Customs Entry/Delivery Form). Two original keys (one master, one valet) and one Ilco key will be included with the vehicle.
The odometer reads in kilometers at 197,919km (122,981 miles). This number may vary, as the vehicle is still being driven occasionally.
The vehicle is very clean, inside and out, especially for the age of the vehicle. It is also in good mechanical condition, with all servicing up to date and no current needs. I have done my best to outline the overall condition of the vehicle below, but may have left some things out. Please contact me with any specific questions and I will be happy to answer them.
The exterior of the vehicle is in great condition. The paint is good overall, with very few minor blemishes. There is no rust. All light fixtures are free of chips or cracks, all exterior lights work. Wipers, front and rear work. All windows work. Power folding mirrors and power actuators work. The moonroof does not function. The motor will run when pressing the controls, but the panel is stationary. I have not diagnosed this issue. The wheels are free of any curb rash or corrosion. It has factory option rain visors.
Like the exterior, the interior is superb. It is a non-smoker vehicle. There is really little wear in any place. All seats and door cards are excellent. The seats have perfect bolstering and hold you in place, while also having a funky 90's look. The leather on the steering wheel has a great patina and feels great. Everything, with the exception of the moonroof mentioned above, functions without issue. The stereo is an aftermarket Carrozzeria unit. The antenna has been removed, so the only part that properly functions is the CD player. All original floormats are included and in excellent shape. I keep the driver's mat in the trunk and have cut an old Ford Focus rubber mat to fit in it's place to prevent any further wear. The driver's seat belt is slow to retract most of the time. I haven't tried cleaning the mechanism yet, but it feeds back manually just fine. There are a couple of random switches next to the I/C Water Spray switch. These were left by the owner in Japan and do nothing.
There's not much to mention about the trunk. You can see the rear tie bar, and wiring and hose for the intercooler spray. The spare tire (original pictured, has been replaced with new Continental tire), toolkit and jack are all present. The two boxes are OEM JDM Subaru red and clear taillights. I will include these with the vehicle.
The oil has recently been changed (Wix XP filter, Motul 5w40), as well as the transmission fluid (Redline 75w90NS). I have also changed the rear differential fluid (Redline 75w90). The tires are new Firestone Firehawk A/S. The front and rear brakes have good life. The engine air filter is a new K&N washable filter. The battery is a new Exide MarathonMax AGM battery with a 4 year warranty. The starter was replaced before I purchased the vehicle and is a Denso unit. The timing belt was serviced at 165,000km and is still in good condition.
The engine starts every time without issue and runs perfect. The transmission shifts smoothly. Fourth gear is a little notchy on downshifts. I suspect the transmission mount is starting to wear. The clutch engages perfectly and feels very healthy. It does not slip, even after a spirited run down some back roads. The car is a joy to drive and does not feel like it's as old as it is. I have not had the vehicle on a dyno, but it feels much quicker than a standard WRX.
The vehicle has a few tasteful modifications. They include: HKS Hi-Power cat-back exhaust, Syms Racing EL header (heat wrapped), STi front and rear upper strut tower bars, Cusco front lower chassis brace, Beatrush under shield, Defi White Racer boost gauge, 1994 Type RA ECU, Type RA shift knob, STi decklid and spoiler, Grimmspeed radio antenna block-off plate. It is also wired for intercooler spray, with nozzles and hose also in place. It just needs a reservoir and pump in the trunk.

When using the Buy-It-Now option, a deposit of $500 is immediately due. Upon auction end, a deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours. Total vehicle payment is due within 7 days of either Buy-It-Now or auction end. I prefer cash, but will accept a Cashier's Check that I can verify funds through my local credit union.
If the vehicle requires shipping, it is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange shipping. I am flexible with meeting a transporter to pick the vehicle up.
