Car description |
---|
Black 1983 Porsche 911 cabriolet with 49,829 original, documented miles.
This 911 has a clean title; engine and transmission are original to the chassis.
The the interior and exterior upgrades and updates cost well over $20,000; the exterior panels have been upgraded from metal to lightweight and expensive carbon fiber (not fiberglass) 993 turbo-look panels, offering a beautiful, modern look while enhancing performance through weight-reduction and improved fuel economy.
The tan leather interior is supple and absolutely mint - no tears in the leather and no fade in the color.
The dash is in excellent condition, there are no cracks on the dash either.
The canvas top still looks brand new and operates flawlessly.
There is absolutely zero rust on this car as it was a Texas vehicle all its life.
Mechanically, in my opinion, this 911 is well above average for this age - there are no unusual noises or leaks from engine or transmission. The clutch bites hard as soon as it is released, zero play. Brakes are thick and responsive. NO SMOKE on cold start. This car truly must be driven to be appreciated.
Recent maintenance receipts dated from May 2 2017 include the following ($1,200):- Replaced oil return tube- Replaced strainer gasket- Replaced oil filter- Performed oil change with 5w40 full synthetic motor oil- Repaired and replaced shifter assembly and worn bushings- Replaced fan belt and adjusted tension- Realigned windows and replaced stop gaps- Re-tightened exterior door handles- Removed interior door panels and re-tightened everything- Checked power window motor and rewired
An additional $1,700 was spent on the custom fabrication of the dual outlet Fabspeed exhaust and euro straight pipe upgrade which makes this car sound absolutely amazing, videos do not do it any justice.
All electricals have been gone through and all gauges function properly.
Power windows, oil level indicator, oil temperature and oil pressure indicators, odometer, speedometer, tach, etc are all fully operational.
Factory air conditioning was serviced last summer. which is somewhat rare.
Unfortunately the power mirrors no longer function and the clock does not keep time accurately - have not gotten to this yet.
Mechanically, car needs nothing. Pre-purchase inspections are 100% welcome. Videos can be provided upon request.
Selling to purchase an investment property with my wife, willing to negotiate for expedited process.
