The car runs and drives well. It is very powerful and sounds incredible. The car has a good battery (dated 2/15) that holds a charge well. The transmission has a tendency to pop out of first gear, and a I believe at least one other gear has a synchro issue. It is still driveable in my opinion, but fixing the issue shouldn't be too costly from a parts perspective. The suspension and tires work well, and it seems a small fortune was spent on these items at one point. The engine appears to be correct for the year, but I'm not sure if it is original to the car. I was told by the previous owner that it is an 'S' motor, but I cannot confirm. The engine number is M28/19 81D0844.
The body and paintwork are very nice. There are a few bumps in the wheel arches (see photos), and a couple small fiberglass imperfections on the bumpers. Overall the exterior has been well preserved and the car's paint looks top notch. The interior is a bit dirty and tired, and seems to have been modified with speakers and amps over the years. The leather on the instrument binnacle is dried up.The passenger power window does not work, but I applied voltage directly to the regulator motor and the window is now stuck closed. The headlights go up and down, but there is some sort of electrical fault and they don't stop moving. The air conditioning equipment is present, but the air from the vents is not cold.
Paperwork for the car indicates that the car has the following upgrades. The Strosek wide body conversion was performed in Florida many years ago and is one of just 25 cars in the USA, according to the previous owner.
- Strosek front spoiler
- Strosek cold air induction hood
- Strosek rear wings (upper and lower)
- Strosek side skirts
- Strosek flairs (front & rear fenders)
- 4.7 Liter Competition Series engine (aftermarket racing camshafts, stainless headers, custom stainless exhaust).
- Weltmeister low sports springs
- KONI sport shocks
- Weltmeister anti-roll bars (front/rear)
- OZ Italian Racing Rims (9 x 17 front, 10 x 17 rear)
