1983 Mercedes Benz 240D, ne owner Southern Oaklahoma car until I purchased it in 2011 and brought it to Pa. Garage kept, ever driven in snow, ice Sunday drive car. I only added 7500k miles in the four years that I have owned it. The car is pretty clean for its age. Drives straight and shifts properly. Runs great, ery reliable and economical. As it is well known these 240's are a little slow out of the gate, ut once you are up and running, hey will drive forever. Great for local around town driving as well as long distance, s the engine is so well built it will go on for many years to come. There is no rust in the body work of this car and it has perfect floor boards, ockers, enders and quarters except for a tiny ding on the trim of the passenger rear quarter just above the tail light. It is the size of a quarter. There is the usual rock chipping on the hood etc and also on the door edges but not enough to take away from the overall classic appearance of the car. This car does not burn oil between oil changes or have excessive smoke, lthough intermittently it may leave a small oil drip on the driveway. The interior is in good shape for its age as the photos will demonstrate. It has the usual cracks on the dash and also there is a few small tears on the rear seat which haven't gotten any worse in the time I have owned the car. The A/C is not currently working although it has been converted to R134. I have not driven it enough to need the A/C. The radio works although the antenna needs to be replaced. There is one window crank missing from the rear driver's door, asily available from any MB parts dealer. This is a great classic car to run as is as I have as it is completely solid. I get comments from people whenever we take her for a ride. We are downsizing and I will have less garage space so it is time to part ways. This car shows no accidents in AutoCheck.Feel free to contact me with any questions.
