First generation FB rx7. 12A rotary engine, 5-speed transmission. 110,000 miles
The Bad:Needs seats recovered...foam and seat are structurally fine but the fabric is in pretty bad shape.Speedometer cable brokenThe worst thing about this car is the seat condition and the damage on fenders and back driver quarter panelPassenger side window is kindof annoying to roll up
The Good:Rebuilt engine by previous owner, I've put several thousand miles on the car since acquiring it. Engine runs excellent...doesn't smoke, smooth power throughout the entire RPM range, you definitely know you're driving a rotary. 5 speed transmission, shifts flawlessly.Car drives straight, no pulls or shakes even at interstate speed and beyond. Good tires. I've taken it on several 200 miles round-trips. Clutch, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and slave cylinder replaced a couple thousand miles ago. New alternator. No rust (other than that surface spot on the messed up fender,) very clean underneath, engine is clean and doesnt leak a drop of anything. Never runs hot or anything like that. Everything works. All the gauges, lights, hatch and gas solenoids, etc. operate as they should (except speedo at the moment.)
It's got some character, at first glance it looks kinda rough but mechanically this car is as solid as can be. Certainly it is far from excellent condition but its a solid car and can be dependably and comfortably daily driven. Definitely needs some cleaning up and odd and end stuff...door panels are kinda rough. Dash is in good shape, no cracks or burns. Headliner is also nice. Again, its a little ugly but all the stuff that matters is in great shape. Clean KY title in my name.
