1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. 4 door (suicide doors) Big v8 flat head engine that sounds great. Manual transmission on the column. This car seems to be very complete. I am selling it for an older friend that has owned it for 30+ years. It has sat for the last 25 years. We recently took it out of storage and got it running again. It has new front brakes (wheel cylinders, hoes, ardware) and a rebuilt master cylinder. At some point in the past 66 years the mechanical fuel pump was removed and an electric pump was installed. I recently intstalled a new electric pump on the frame rail and new fuel filters. Eventually a mechanical pump should be installed but it does run the way it is. It has 4 new tires and the original spare. the rockers do appear to have some body work done that does not look professional but it is solid and presentable. The car is still 6 Volt but at some point someone added a 12 volt battery only for starting the car. The correct thing to do is convert the car to 12 volt so there is only one battery under the hood but it is functional the way it is. The interior seems to be complete. All of the doors and windows operate the way they should. The engine has great oil pressure even when fully warmed up. There is a bit of a shudder when letting off the clutch from a bad transmission or engine mount. This car was driven 20 miles the other day with no problem but should be looked over before any long trips. It has a little hesitation/skip at 1/4 throttle that comes and goes. Some of the chrome is pitted but it is all there. Feel free to ask any questions.
