Offered for sale is a beautiful RARE 1949 Lincoln Club Coupe. I am selling this car for the widow of the previous owner. The car has a clean title. This car has been repainted in the past and is a two-tone grey, with nice red cloth interior. Motor is a flat head V8 336cu. Runs good, no smoke. Three speed on the column with overdrive. All gauges and lights work (including clock ) except the fuel gauge. The car has exterior spot lights but I have not figured out how to turn them on. From the appearance of the undercarriage, it seems the car may have had a frame-off restoration in the past. Chrome is in excellent condition. A case full of literature about the car was found and will go with the car. It includes service manuals, instructions, and also a list of updates done to the car in the past. Also included in the paperwork (see photo) is a paper from Automotive Information Clearinghouse showing there were only 19 of these cars registered in the US in 1981. I cannot vouch for this number, can only show you what I found in the car. The mileage listed is what is on the odometer, but I cannot guarantee this number to be correct. The car has been kept in a heated garage. The story that came with this car is that it was used in one of President Eisenhower's motorcades, but I was unable to confirm this information. I do not know the complete history of this car so please ask questions. You are welcome to inspect the car by appointment. If you need additional pictures of anything in particular I will be happy to send them. Down payment of non-returnable deposit of $500 is due within 3 days after close of auction.
