Selling 1985 Jeep CJ7. If you're looking for one of the nicest original type un cut CJ7 around rear on. This CJ was built nice! The running gear under CJ is matching number correct to this Jeep. The motor block decodes 501c31 = built 1985 on Jan1 6 cyl 4.2. *Howell TBI fuel injection was also added for better power and performance. Transmission is Jeep Borg Warner T5 5 speed manual. The transmission was "just rebuilt all new". New clutch and clutch parts also installed at the same time less than 100 driven miles ago. The 4 by 4 Transfer case is factory Dana 300. ID number 300-15-2 correct to what is should be. Transfer case also inspected, resealed & serviced. Rear end is Jeep amc 20 as it should be. Front end is Dana 30 with locking hubs. Front and rear end also factory wide track style, as they should be. Jeep retains it's factory gearing of 3;15. Note 3:15 gearing mated to the 5 speed transmission lets you drive this CJ at highway speeds at lower rpms then most CJ will now days. Gearing not changed out to a lower rock crawler gearing. It drives straight down the road, Stop straight when braking and it shifts and down shifts like new - SEE DRIVING VIDEO. All the electrical in great working order. New wiring harness under hood and new fuse box installed. The heater, wipers, horn, wiper sprayers, back up lights, power window, dash lights and all other lighting on jeep work's correct. The factory dash gauges cluster Spedo, Odo, Fuel, Temp, OIL, Volt and Tac also all work correct. The Odo / speedometer "still worked correct" so not replaced in build. The older Odo reads 149000 at this time. This Jeep had been well cared for maintained and adult owned. About everything on and in this CJ has been repaired or replaced in the past 5 years of it life to keep it in good reliable working conduction. Jeep also fitted with key chain "remote alarm system" and a nice stereo system with 4 speakers and power amp. * Jeep body metal is super straight and the paint work is of (higher quality) then Jeep painted them in back in the day. I do believe as a 40 plus year classic Jeep CJ owner, builder, repair person of many CJ over the years, that this CJ is much nicer overall then most CJ out there.
