Car description |

For sale is a 1979 Jeep J10 with 360 V8 and automatic transmission with QuadraTrac. It has the short bed (119in. wheelbase). I bought it a couple years ago and performed some repairs/upgrades but we are getting ready to move so I've decided to sell it. The truck starts and runs well and is a lot of fun to drive. Here is a summary of everything I've done:
1. Installed a new polyethylene fuel tank and new fuel tank sender.2. Installed all new stainless steel fuel lines and brake lines all around.3. Installed brand new front marker light assemblies.4. Installed brand new Edelbrock Performer intake manifold (Model 2131 - Non EGR).5. Installed brand new Edelbrock Performer carburetor (Model 1405 - Manual choke, 600 CFM).6. Replaced battery, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, rotor, alternator, fuel pump, starter, and starter solenoid.7. Replaced radiator.8. Completely rebuilt front and rear brakes including new brake hoses and stainless steel brake lines.9. Replaced rear shock absorbers.10. Replaced motor mounts.11. Replaced muffler and majority of exhaust system (exhaust headers are original and might have a slight exhaust leak).12. The truck starts easily even when cold and idles smoothly. The manual choke works well.13. Upgraded to the more desirable Razor Grille.14. General maintenance (oil changes, transmission flush, etc.)15. Truck has a clean title.
Here are the remaining items that I would fix if I was going to keep the truck:
1. The floor boards are rusted through and should be replaced.2. The rear quarter panels / bed side panels are rusted through in a few places.3. The truck is fundamentally very solid and well maintained and the frame itself is in very good shape. However, it does have the typical rust seen on these trucks.4. The seat is ripped and frayed but is not sagging.5. The battery has a slight electrical / parasitic drain on it and might need jump started if a few days pass between start ups.
I've tried to be very honest and transparent in my description. This truck has a lot of potential to be a great off road truck or daily driver.
I'm happy to answer any specific questions people might have. Thanks for looking!
