I have a Jeep CJ7 1985, all original with 56k Miles. I registered it in 2016, but it sat in storage from 2005 till August 2016. Runs great, no leaks, no smoke and a strong 258cui 6 cylinder. 4 speed bullet proof manual transmission. Everything is tight drives like it is new. I have had a Jeep mechanic inspect it and he concluded it essentially a 2 year old jeep mechanically speaking. I do have a 1 1/2" lift kit by way of new shackles and add a leaf kit to be installed. The combination will probably give a 2”-2 1/2” lift. I have installed new shocks in the last 4 months as well. Have a new sending unit to be installed for the fuel gauge. This was a basic model, NOT a Renegade as hood decal implies. The Renegade was applied to the hood for a sportier look. It was without the rear seat so I added the Best Top rear seat. Doors as I understand are from a newer model YJ? I have a nice 175$ aluminum valve cover to replace the plastic model to dress the engine up. Engine has a 4 barrel carb, headers, stainless exhaust, Oppenhauser intake. All in one distributor added. Have a soft top in great shape and a new bikini top. It is a solid machine, constantly getting complimented. It has the original tub, a couple pencil size eraser rust spots but no more. Frame rust free. Not much more I can think of, except I simply don’t have time to enjoy it. Please note the drivers seat has a 2-3” rip in the seam, otherwise seats are mint. I don’t drive this in the winter. Also it does have air conditioning, it needs Freon r12 or a conversion. Make me an offer.
