GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1945 Jeep CJ-2A for your consideration. Though Jeep claims their origin as 1941, the first civilian Jeeps did not roll off the production line until 1945. The first civilian Jeeps were given headlights flush with the grille and a 7-slot grille instead of the military-grade 9-slot grille. The CJ is powered by a 2.2L I4 engine that is mated to a T-90 3-speed manual transmission. Both the engine and transmission are widely... regarded as bulletproof and easy to maintain if anything does happen to go wrong. The example offered here has been repainted to match the military spec Jeeps. It has also had some front end modifications to remove the flush headlights found on the civilian Jeeps and replace them with the military ones. Not only has the exterior been changed, but the interior has also been switched to military spec. The seats have been replaced with a cloth and the top is a tan/green cloth. Mechanically the Jeep is in great condition and runs like a top. Now is your chance to own a unique piece of history as this was produced in the first year of civilian Jeeps.
