Car description

NEW PAINT APRIL 2019
This 1967 International Scout 800 is what I would call a nice cosmetically restored "Survivor." It has never been painted any other color than the factory color which is Tahitian Yellow. It has only been repainted once in its entire life and was factory paint before the new 2 stage PPG tahitian yellow paint was sprayed on with 3 coats of urethane clear. As you can see, the truck looks LUMINOUS! The paint has not been cut and buffed and yet it has a nice glow & gloss to it. Luckily, there was a section of the paint under the door panel which had not seen daylight since 1967 and it was the perfect spot for a digital paint match of the original color.
You probably won't ever find another Scout in this color, since there is no paint formula available for it!
The body exterior required only 2 spots on the lower quarter panels for welding and the other body panels are all believed to be original to the Scout. There is no fiberglass filler. The body was nearly a bare metal repaint, with all panels thoroughly sanded down and then primed with a complete coating of polyester primer surfacer. The primer was then blocked by hand complete; entire exterior was wetsanded prior to refinishing with PPG basecoat and clear urethane.
NEW BLACK LEATHERETTE OXEN UPHOLSTERY MARCH 2019
The interior has all three of the original seats including the desirable and hard to find original rear bench seat. All seats were removed and sent off to a 2 generation family of local upholsterers for complete recovering.
Existing carpet and front mats are also in the Scout.
New suspension lift with new springs, new shock absorbers, and new shackles. It has a great looking stance and could easily fit larger tires if so desired. Currently it has 16" steel wheels painted white and older tires.
New left door chrome side view mirror.
I have driven the scout on the property here. It has brakes and steers as well, I fired it up today and drove it briefly for taking photographs.
Previous owner changed the rear differential. Differential gearing from factory 4.27:1.
Transmission is the sought after 4 speed, otion T-45 and is shown on the Line Set Ticket. The 4 speed had better ranges than the commonly installed 3 speed trans.
Engine is the larger 4 cylinder displacing 196 fiery cubes of pure IH brute force!
I believe the scout was kept covered/garaged for years since the original chrome parts do not have a lot of corrosion as is common to most vehicles of this vintage.
Original hood IH emblem has been repainted by hand in red and black, as they originally appeared. The "All Wheel drive" and Scout emblems were lightly treated to a steel wooling to remove dirt and were reinstalled. The All Wheel Drive emblems received some red paint to spice them up a bit. The door handles received the same treatment of removal and cleaning with steel wool.
New front turn signal lenses (not pictured)
Custom steel front bumper
Original style rear step bumper
There is a small 12V air compressor under the hood (I have never used it)
All glass is good and windows do roll up and down (require some loving assistance as most Scouts do). Tailgate, hood, and liftgate all open and close and operate as they should. Doors open and close without problems.
The Scout is currently running off of the drivers side fuel tank. Passenger tank was removed by previous owner. Horn button is absent (anyone want to add one to help out?)
Mileage listed as 0 is for interior and paint, total miles are exempt amd unknown. Sold as is where is in fort smith ar
