According to the Chassis Inspection Card from International Harvester,
this sweet Special Edition Scout was finished and signed off on June 1st of 1966.
It was born as a Champagne Edition Scout, and as you can see by the "Line Setting Ticket" picture,
it was labeled as a "DOLL UP" Scout for this reason.
It is presented here for you in the original exterior color which it had on that day in 1966,
Aspen Green Poly, code 5683.
The new paint was applied in June of 2019, 53 years later. It is PPG 2 stage metallic basecoat clearcoat
paint with urethane clear.
Left rocker panel, left lower fender bottom, and tailgate bottom received welded in fabricated patches with
16 gauge steel. The exterior body had trim removed, and was sanded then primed with catalyzed primer
surfacer complete and metal etch primer where needed. The exterior primer was then block sanded (wetsanded) by
hand before the exterior was refinished in 2 stage paint. The paint has not been color sanded or buffed!
The front bucket seats are the original front seats (commonly missing) and are in black vinyl. New interior (June, 2019)
with full carpet and padding from front to back. The Scout has a back seat which has been reupholstered in black
with new door panels on the front doors reupholstered in the same fabric. Original armrests are there too. Special
Edition Scouts came with door panels in the front.
Also common to special edition Scouts are the sliding rear windows in the original old hardtop, the drivers door chrome
sport mirror (extremely rare), the original chrome front bumper, chrome headlight rings, and the bulkhead delete option
(some had bulkheads between the front and rear of the cab). The Scout also has a beefy rear step
bumper, which I believe to be original also.
Suspension is unlifted and stock and in my opinion, has a nice stance without sag front or rear.
Tires are Goodyear 235/75/15 tires, which are mounted on 15" white spoke wheels
that have a nice offset.
I have started, run, driven, steered, shifted, utilized the clutch, and stopped this truck. You can hear and see in the video, the Scout's engine
idling; without smoke coming out of the exhaust. The previous owner reported to me that he replaced the brakes (with
new brake line in rear), added a new battery, replaced the rear floor (16gauge steel), added new freeze plugs to the
engine, and flushed the engine and radiator. The front floors were also repaired.
This is a 4x4 Traveltop convertible model 800. Yes, the hardtop comes completely off of the truck. The top liftgate opens and closes and stays
put when raised, but does not latch completely shut. The tailgate opens and closes and stops in between with the correct original
bracketry linkage.
Clean title in hand, will sell to highest bidder

On the DOLL UP LST, please note the numbers to the right of SCOUT 800 100WB which reads 7809082. According to a website devoted to International Harvester, this is the number proving this is a champagne ser scout. (if DOLL UP SCOUT didn't cover the special edition component enough)
On Jul-16-19 at 07:54:12 PDT, seller added the following information:
All bidders and buyers, Please Note: according to another internet source, apparently beginning in 1966 Intenational Harvester reworded this Doll-Up-Scout version as a "CUSTOM" and retired the "CHAMPAGNE" word. Just wanted to mention this in case anyone cares. It is, nevertheless a DOLL UP SCOUT, as were all special edition Scouts. So, if you wanted a CHAMPAGNE scout in 1966, you ordered a DOLL UP SCOUT "Custom."
