WE ARE ALWAYS ON THE HUNT FOR CLEAN CLASSICS BUT ESPECIALLY ORIGINAL SURVIVORS AND CLASSIC TRUCKS, O THIS TRUCK BEING THE PERFECT COMBO OF THE TWO WE COULDN'T LEAVE WITHOUT IT. THAT OF COURSE IS ALSO MY DOWN FALL AND SOMETIMES I GET EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED IN VEHICLES THAT ARE ORIGINAL SURVIVORS AND WHAT KIND OF STORIES THEY CAN TELL BY NOT ONLY THE LOVE THEY SHOW THEY RECEIVED, UT ALSO THE SCUFFS AND BUMPS. THIS TO SOME PEOPLE IS ALSO OFTEN CALLED A PROBLEM OR CAR HORDING:) SO WITH FUTURE PLANS ON LARGER PERSONAL PROJECTS AND THE RECENT MOVE WE'VE MADE WITH THE BUSINESS IV REALIZED I HAVE TO THIN THE HEARD ON MY STASH OF SOME SURVIVORS AND RESTORATION PROJECT TRUCKS WE HAVE IN LIN, O YOU MAY SEE A FEW GREAT CANDIDATES FILTER OUT HERE IN THERE IN THE HIGHBOY, 10 AND IH SCOUT DEPARTMENT (MY THREE SOFT SPOTS) WITH THAT SAID THIS TRUCK CAN HONESTLY BE LEFT AS-IS AND DRIVEN FOR YEARS AND YEARS JUST AS IT HAS, UT I COULDN'T IMAGINE A MORE HONEST OR DESERVING CANDIDATE FOR A PARTIAL SYMPATHETIC RESTORATION TO A FULL FRAME OFF BUILD!
BODY- THIS F250 IS A NICE SOLID AND HONEST ORIGINAL TRUCK THAT IS ABOUT 90% RUST FREE AND ISN'T HIDING ANY ISSUES OR MAKES YOU ASK WHATS UNDER THAT CHEAP REPAINT. AS MENTIONED ABOVE IT IS ABOUT 80% ORIGINAL PAINT WITH THE ONLY ITEMS THAT HAVE HAD A VERY OLD RESPRAY IS THE HOOD AND TOP SIDE OF CAB THAT LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE EARLY 80'S AND AGED EVENLY WITH THE REST OF THE TRUCK. LUCKILY THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE NORTHWEST IT'S WHOLE LIFE WHERE WE HAVE MODERATE WINTERS AND USE NO SALT ON THE WINTER ROADS SO IT IS A VERY SOLID OLD FORD WITH ONLY A COUPLE SMALL PIN HOLES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE LOWER REAR CAB CORNER AND ON PASSENGER SIDE INNER FLOOR TO THE LEFT REAR FOOT WELL AREA. THE COWL, IRE WALL,BODY MOUNTS, AIN GUTTERS, INDOW CHANNELS, EST OF FLOORS, OOF, OORS, ENDERS, ED, NNER AND OUTER ROCKERS ARE SOLID WITH ONLY SOME MINOR SURFACE RUST IN SOME AREAS WHERE PAINT HAS WHORE IN THOSE AREAS OVER TIME. THE ORIGINAL SILVER METALLIC PAINT IS CLEARLY AGED AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FOR 36 YEARS OF USE AND MAY NOT BE THE STRONG POINT TO MANY WITH IT'S LACK OF SHINE, UT TO ME IT IS THE STRONGEST AND MOST DESIRABLE POINT WITH THE CHARACTER AND HONEST CONDITION LEAVES NO DOUBT WHAT AND WHERE THIS TRUCK IS. IT GIVES A CLEAR STARTING POINT DEPENDING ON YOUR PLANS AND ADVERTISES IT'S SELF WELL AS TO WHERE AND WHAT IT HAS DONE IN THE LAST 36 YEARS. THAT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT SURVIVORS YOU REALLY CAN'T HIDE ANYTHING IT SIMPLY SHOWS YOU WHAT IT IS AND IT'S NEEDS GOOD OR BAD. THERE IS A SMALL DENT ON DRIVER REAR BOTTOM CAB CORNER ALONG WITH ONE ON BOTTOM REAR BODY LINE OF DRIVER BEDSIDE, IGNS OF CONTACT WITH SOMETHING IN THE PAST ON REAR DRIVER BED SIDE WITH SOME SCUFFS, AINT TRANSFER AND SMALL CREASE TOWARD THE TOP, HE TAIL GATE HAS DINGS AND SCRATCHES, ET STILL CLOSES AND LATCHES WELL. THE PASSENGER REAR BOTTOM OF BED HAS A DING, HERE IS NUMEROUS DINGS AND SCUFFS ON TOP OF BED RAILS, HE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ARE STRAIGHT, UT HAS SURFACE RUST ALONG WITH THE INSIDE FLOOR OF THE BED THAT HAS THE PAINT WORE AWAY FROM HAULING LOADS OVER THE YEARS. THERE IS OF COURSE CHIPS, MALL SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES THROUGHOUT THE TRUCK, UT ALL THE HARD TO FIND SIDE BODY TRIM AND GRILLE SHELL ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO DINGS OR DAMAGE. ALL GLASS IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH TIGHT AND LOCKING FLY WINDOWS AND SIDE WINDOWS THAT ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY AND WITHOUT ANY RESISTANCE. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN LICENSED ON THE ROAD EVERY 36 YEARS SINCE IT WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGH NEW AND OVERALL IS A IMPRESSIVE SOLID SURVIVOR THAT HAS STOOD UP TO THE YEARS AND USE WELL.
INTERIOR- INSIDE THIS F250'S INTERIOR MATCHES AND PAIRS TO THE EXTERIOR WELL THAT IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL, ESPECTABLE AND MOSTLY WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT ON A CLASSIC TRUCK WITH JUST A COUPLE MODERN CHANGES. IT IS THE FACTORY BLACK WITH THE DELUXE INTERIOR TRIM PKG. NICE AND INTACT ORIGINAL HEADLINER, RIGINAL PAINT ON THE DASH THAT HAS A NICE BLACK DASH PAD, RIGINAL PLASTIC DOOR PANELS THAT LOOK GOOD, UT HAS SOME SIGNS OF AGING WITH A FEW SMALL CRACKS FROM OVER TIGHTENED SCREWS AND RATTLE A LITTLE! THE ORIGINAL FLOOR MAT HAS BEEN PULLED TO PREVENT RUST ALONG WITH A THICK COAT OF SPRAY ON BEDLINER. FOR MORE COMFORTABLE DRIVES AND MODERN FEEL A NEWER BENCH SEAT FROM A NEWER 95-97 F250 THE ORIGINAL HAS BEEN SWAPPED IN AND A UPGRADED MP3 PIONEER CD PLAYER HAS BEEN INSTALLED. HEATER BLOWS WARM WITH GOOD A HEATER CORE, IPERS WORK AT BOTH SPEEDS, LL GAUGES WORK AND ARE CLEAR. THE DOORS POP RIGHT OPEN WITH EASEAND SHUT STRAIGHT WITH NOSAGGING OR DOOR LIFTING NEEDED, UT RATTLE A LITTLE, UE TO THE WEATHER STRIPPING BEING ORIGINAL AND HAS FLATTENED OVER THE YEARS. THE DOOR LOCKS BOTH WORK, IDE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN, HEORIGINAL SUN VISORS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND MOVE FREELY AND STAY UP AMAZINGLY. INSIDE IT SHOWS IT'S AGE AND A MINOR RESTORATION OR FRESHENING UP WOULD BE WHAT THIS TRUCK DESERVES, UT FOR 36 YEARS OLD SHE'S HELD UP!
MECHANICAL- THIS OLD FORD HAS BEEN MAINTAINED WELL THROUGHOUT THE YEARS THAT IS TIGHT AND SOLID MECHANICALLY. IT IS A VERY STRONG AND SMOOTH RUNNING TRUCK THAT HAS HAD EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD GONE THROUGH OR REPLACED A FEW YEARS AGO. UNDER THE HOOD IT LOOKS VERY STOCK, LEAN AND FACTORY WITH THE THE ORIGINAL 351 AND 2BBL CARB WERE REBUILT, new ALTERNATOR, TARTER, ATTERY, OSES, ATER PUMP, ADIATOR AND COMPONENTS TO THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION WERE REPLACED. THIS TRUCK HAS A MILD CAM THAT GIVES IT A KILLER MUSCLE CAR LIKE SOUND AT IDLE BREATHING THROUGH THE DUAL FLOWMASTER EXHAUST, LWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP WITH JUST A COUPLE PUMPS OF THE PEDAL, DLES NICELY WHEN WARMED UP, ULLS THROUGH ALL GEARS WITH NO HESITATION, ICKING, MOKING, AJOR LEAKS OR ISSUES. THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN FULLY GONE THROUGH ALL THE WAY AROUND WITH NEW ROTORS, ALIPERS AND BRAKE LINES UP FRONT, O SHE STOPS SOLID AND STRAIGHT. UP FRONT IT HAS A NEW HEAVY DUTY RED HEAD STEERING BOX AND ALL THE TIE RODS AND BALL JOINTS ARE TIGHT, O IT TRACKS NICE DOWN OLD COUNTRY SIDE ROADS OR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WITH NO WHITE KNUCKLE RIDES OR PLAY IN THE STEERING. IT HAS THE FACTORY T18 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANS THAT HAS A TIGHT SHIFT PATTERN, ROPER PEDAL FEEL AND THE CLUTCH WAS GONE THROUGH WHEN THE MOTOR WAS DONE, ANUAL 2-SPEED TRANSFER CASE, ANUAL HUBS. TO GET THAT PROPER CLASSIC HIGHBOY STANCE AND LOOK IT HAS HAD A MILD SUSPENSION LIFT THAT WOULD ACCOMMODATE UP TO A 35" TIRE EASILY. IT AT ONE TIME SAT FOR 2 MONTHS IN THE GARAGE WITHOUT BEING TOUCHED AND LEFT NO LARGE PUDDLES AND FIRED RIGHT UP. THIS IS A CLASSIC TRUCK THAT WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN AND PULLS STRONG :)
