Car description |

Only 2,500 miles since a high quality restoration. The owner sells Mustang parts for a living. I drove it, the car functions like new. It handles and performs great. The owner did participate in 2 parking autocross style events. He also took it to many cruise nights and car shows.
EXTERIOR: The body has been stripped down and professionally restored. It is all metal with no rust. It was primed black, sanded and repainted it's original Signal Flare red using a PPG base coat, clear coat. Then it was wet sanded and polished to a glass finish. The tail panel is gloss black. The paint is show quality. The jambs are detailed. It has some custom features including chrome bullet mirrors, a Shelby style lower valance, a cowl induction hood with racing pins, Shelby scoops and Cobra gas cap. All Ford and Mustang emblems were removed and Cobra emblems were added. All the chrome has been replaced from the trunk lock to the bumpers and even the vent window frames. New stainless trim around the windows. It has custom machined taillights. All the weather strips are new. It rolls on 17 inch Eleanor wheels with performance tires.
INTERIOR: It is completely redone inside. Upgraded with a Flaming River tilt column and a walnut wheel. It has a custom Auto Sound retro stereo with Kenwood dash speakersand Pioneer 6x9s in back. It also has custom gauges including a tachometer. The cushions in the seats are new. It has a nice cushioned console with cup holders. New door panels and armrests. On the floor it has new carpet, embroidered mats, seat belts and a Hurst shifter. Overhead it has new headliner, visors and mirror. In front of me is a pristine dash area the metal is painted, all the new chrome sparkles. Interior lights work. The interior is new looking from carpet to headliner.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded with a 1970 302 motor. It has had a performance build. Bored .40 over, the heads were mildly ported, it has a Comp cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake with a Holley dual feed carb. It also has an electronic Mallory ignition system. A set of coated headers let the motor exhale. Just about everything under the hood is new. It has a new power steering system, upgraded dual reservoir brake master cylinder, new alternator. It runs cool with a new aluminum radiator, new water pump, new hoses and clamps. The engine bay is all smooth, clean metal with a semi gloss black.. it has a chrome support bar. Bottom of the hood and the jamb are as slick as the car. The battery, tray, bracket and cables are all proper. replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal trunk compartment. It has a new mat, seat divider and weatherstrip. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy like the car.
UNDERSIDE: It has been completely restored underneath too. The floors are all solid metal. The front and rear frame rails are tied together with welded in frame connectors. The front suspension components are all new. New power steering unit. It has a larger sway bar. In back it has new shocks, springs, swaybar and tubular traction bars. Looking up at the motor it is clean. New fuel pump and starter. It has a T-10 4-speed trans, new clutch. New 3.25 traction lock gears in the rear end. All new brakes and upgraded to disc in front. All new fuel system. 2.5 inch exhaust with crossover pipe, 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers and polished stainless tailpipes.
This is one of great ones. I look at, own and drive hundreds of collector cars a year. This one is exceptional. Ready for show and go!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
