Car description

2 year, body off frame, rotisserie restoration. Cosmetics and mechanicals were restored. We just acquired a 3 car collection from the estate of a well respected local car collector. He owned a chrome plating business, so you know the trim on this car sparkles!
EXTERIOR: Outstanding fit and finish. All the body gaps are probably better than new. The body is laser straight from every angle. There's no rust, no damage. It has optional fender skirts. The Wimbledon white paint is like white glass. Every piece of chrome is restored, every piece of stainless is straightened and polished to look new. It has optional dual mirrors and rocker trim. The glass has been all been replaced and has a soft factory tint. Door jambs are painted, weather strips are replaced, latches restored, sill plates are new. White convertible top was replaced, the top frame was restored, weatherstrips replaced. The pump and lines were replaced. It is the original style wire hubcaps with spinners on radial tires.
INTERIOR: The XL comes with bucket seats and a console. This interior was entirely removed and restored to the down to the smallest detail. They lined ot with sound deadener. New red carpet and matching embroidered floormats and red seatbelts on the floor. The seats were rebuilt, have new cushions and upholstery. The upholstery fits tight as a drum and has the chrome piping. Even the seat chrome was replated, seat backs were painted and the brushed stainless was restored. The console is restored like new. The side panels are new, all the chrome and brushed stainless is restored. It has power windows. The dash area is meticulously restored. New padded dash, every knob, bezel, lense is like new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored, not just detailed to look pretty but it is rebuilt to function too. According to the owner all the mechanicals were rebuilt. The 390-300 hp motor has been completely remachined. It does have an upgraded Edelbrock intake painted black with an Edelbrock carb hiding under that big air cleaner. It's also dressed up with a set of finned aluminum valve covers. It has the correct hose clamps, Autolite battery topper and factory power steering and power brakes. The metal surfaces are painted real high gloss finishes. Bottom of the hood is gloss white with hood insulation, the latches are detailed.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very nice looking. Completely lined in a red fabric. The bottom of the trunk and the jamb are smooth and glossy. Weatherstrip is new
UNDERSIDE: The body was pulled from the frame and put on a rotisserie. The clean metal was prepped and painted semi gloss black. The chassis was completely taken done bare, painted and restored. The front end is completely rebuilt- balljoints, springs, shocks, bushings etc. New power steering controll valve system. Brake system was completely rebuilt, e-brake assembly is complete. Dual exhaust system has cherry bomb mufflers. Replaced fuel system-tank, sending unit and lines. Bottom of the motor is clean, starter, fuel filter, starter look new. The Cruise-o-matic trans was rebuilt and looks new. New u-joints on the driveshaft. The rear end was rebuilt and detailed.
This car was a no expense spared restoration by someone that is passionate about cars and knows cars. The new owner should be very pleased with this one!
