Car description

#s matching driveline and colors. Documented with Marti Report. Rotisserie restored about 10 years ago to show condition. Really impressive throughout.
EXTERIOR: Very impressive fit and finishes. It was born a red car. I absolutely love this fastback body style and then when it's decked out like this one with all the stripes, scoops, spoilers, louvers and chrome wheels it's a knock out! The body is absolutely straight everywhere you look. The panels fit square and flush, the doors open and close like they're new. The paint is polished out like red glass. Jambs are painted neatly, new sill plates. It has the proper striping- correctly painted matte black hood stripe, tail panel and deck lid. Also has proper decal stripes, reflective on the sides and back. It has the correct sport slats, sport mirrors and spoilers. The chrome and trim has been replaced- bumpers, emblems, correct antenna, gas cap etc. Stainless trim around the windows is excellent. The 15 inch Magnum wheels look new. Has BFG tires. New weather strips and window seals. Front fender lips are rolled for the 15 inch wheels, only done on the Boss.
INTERIOR: Just as nice inside. The first thing I noticed when I sat in it is the nice firm seats. Has new cushions and upholstery. I'm looking at the dash and it is restored like new. The chrome bezels and knobs sparkle. The lenses and gauges are pristine, has a factory tachometer and quartz movement in the clock. The dash pad is mint has a factory Am-Fm radio that works. In back it has a fold down seat and all the trim around it is excellent. Headliner is tight as a drum visors look new. Interior lights all work. Carpet, door panels, pretty much everything looks like new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is restored to factory condition. It has it's VIN number match 302 high performance motor, a picture of the #s are posted. Has correct aluminum intake, #s match Holley carburetor with correct manual choke. The shaker hood scoop assembly is complete, even the heat riser from the exhaust manifold. Has correct finned aluminum valve covers. The engine bay has very clean original metal, the factory seams and spot welds are crisp. Original VIN number is stamped on both inner fenders, in the original Buck tag is still in place. Everything appears to be correct- the rev limiter, Autolite plug wires, washer bottle, fan, shroud, hose ckamps etc. It also features power steering and brakes. It is show quality.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Good clean original metal. It's never been repainted, still has it's original red paint. It shows some age but it also shows how clean the original metal is. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy. Has new weather strip and mat. It has the fold down rear seat which also includes a door into the interior. No spare or jack.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this car was meticulously restored on a rotisserie. Detailed to factory appearance. The floors, frame rails, seams all look pristine. Correctly painted red oxide primer with undercoat applied in the proper places. The driveline is completely rebuilt and detailed to factory specs. Restored suspension and steering. Bottom of the motor is spotless, starter and fuel pump look new. Has original close ratio 4-speed with tag still riveted to it. The rear end is the original 3.50 traction lock with tag still attached. Brake system was restored, disc in front. E-brake looks complete. Fuel system was restored- new tank, sending unit, lines. Correct exhaust system.
This Boss is impressing me more and more. Not only does it look the part but it feels and functions just as good. The metal is exceptionally clean too. Sharp looking, #s matching and documented. This is an investment grade car that will be a pleasure to own.
