This car was restored by Buddy Blackwell, he was recognized by Mustang Times Magazine for his accuracy in authentic Mustang restorations. Documented with Marti report. Correct motor, trans and rear. A restoration was started then the car was parked 20 years while the owner was in jail. Buddy bought the car and brought it home to Alabama to completely restore and add it to his collection. EXTERIOR: It's... a gorgeous car to look at. The fastback is one of the most desirable body styles of all time. We have photos of the body taken down to a bare shell on a rotisserie. It is all metal, it's straight and fits right. Doors, fenders, hood and trunk were refinished inside and out. The candy apple red is polished like glass. It even has IGL ceramic protective coating applied. Jambs are detailed. New weatherstrips and rubber seals. Exterior chrome has been replaced. The windshield is new, rest of the glass is original. GT chrome wheels sparkle and have reproduction F-70 Wide Oval tires. This car was ordered with the decor group. It has louvered hood, pop out gas cap and finned tailpanel. The GT package includes emblems, stripes, fog lamps and splitter exhaust tips. INTERIOR: Inside the car is completely restored. We have pictures of the gutted interior, the floors under the carpet are gloss red. Of course new carpet, upholstery, headliner, door panels etc. It also has new handles, cranks, steering wheel etc. The dash area is all restored and features tachometer, clock and original radio. Full length with the garage door compartment is home to the 4-speed. It has correct reverse lock out handle. It also has fold down rear seat. Interior lights all work. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Period correct 1967 390 motor has been completely rebuilt to stock specs. It runs perfectly. The motor compartment is detailed out like the day it came off the assembly line. Correct Ford hoses and clamps and filters. Autolite battery topper and plug wires. Everything is painted beautifully, all smooth finishes. Correct manifolds, air cleaner and valve covers. Bottom of hood is gloss black and has the turn signals wired in to the louvers. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The inside has all clean metal painted red. There is a brand new tire on a black painted rim for a spare and the correct plaid mat. Everything is detailed, the latches look new, weatherstrip and jacking instructions decal are new etc. UNDERSIDE: Wow, it's really impressive underneath this car. It is highly detailed. We have a picture of the bottom of the car on a rotisserie. The metal looks pristine- the frame rails, seams, 4-speed hole look like factory new. Correctly sprayed in red oxide. The steering and suspension is completely rebuilt and detailed in the proper finishes. It even has assembly line paint markings applied. Bottom of motor is spotless. The original 4-speed trans was rebuilt, it has original tag with correct codes. The 3.00 rear end was rebuilt and also has tag with correct codes. The exhaust system is new correct reproduction with transverse muffler. All new brake system with disc up front, e-brake is functional. This is an extremely desirable car, popular all around the world. It is investment quality and it's sexy. We used to pay $25,000- $30,000 for these over 10 years ago in trashed condition to build Eleanors. This car is priced very fairly, do not hesitate if you think you have interest!
