Steal of a Lifetime! A 1970 Ford Shelby Mustang convertible replica restomod project. I just have too many cars in the garage, including a completed restomod 64 corvette stingray convertible and a C3 and 2020 Corvette on the way. So I have to create some room and let a couple of my prized projects go. Alot has gone into this car and when it is done it is going to be incredible. So I hope it goes to a good home. I bought this car as a red 1970 Shelby Mustang convertible replica with a white top (pics are in link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ve1cxB1TE3Zx7zNoes6AVMzFFv7dFr-W?usp=sharing
I wanted to turn it into the only (that I know of) Restomod 69-70 Shelby convertible in the nation. It had a 351 Windsor engine in it when I bought it. I sold that engine and transmission and my plans for it were to put a brand new fuel injected Coyote or Shelby flat plane crank flat engine in it with a Tremec transmission. I had the car completely stripped down to the basics and started from scratch/sand blasted and body redone by a very reknown shop - Calamia Customs. It has over 30 thousand dollars in new parts bought for it (nevermind the cost of the car or the work done on it). The complete chassis (chassis/brakes/suspension etc) by Schwartz Performance cost nearly 20 thousand by itself. (See pics) It comes with shocks/Red Willwood brakes/Moser rear end etc etc. You can see the whole chassis bought here at this link: https://www.schwartzperformance.com/chassis/1964-1973-mustang-chassis/#!
This car has a completely new floor and has been redone nose to tail. The shock towers were deleted in anticipation of a new engine. I had planned to mintub it and bought the tubs and those will go with car also. As is,with the Schwartz chassis setup you can run up to 19x12 rims in back and 18x9 in the front. I also bought brand new rear fenders for the car and a whole new inner trunk and the shop was waiting on me to make a decision on how wide of tires I wanted to run in the back. So you can do two things. You can keep the fenders that are on there and run somewhat wider tires or you can go full out and tub them and use the new fenders and trunk its truly up to you...either way you get both the original and the extra parts. Depending on what someone wanted to do they could make an exact replica of a 1969-1970 Shelby Mustang Convertible (with an extremely upgraded Schwartz chassis/braking/handling that comes with it) or they could make it into a very wide tire restomod like I had planned. This car is a complete car except for engine and transmission. All other parts both original and new will come with the car including (glass/rubber/carpet/seats/gauges/wiring/dash/radiator/fuel tank/center console/power top/aluminum shroud/steering with rack/inner mini tub fenders/ignition/full suspension/shocks/coil overs/etc etc etc EVERYTHING will come with the car.
The car will be shipped as a rolling chassis with as many parts as we can fit inside of it but there are so many parts included that a pallet will have to also be shipped along with it. The new Trunk and new rear fenders alone are large boxes. Like I said its a complete car except for the motor and transmission. Virtually every part (interior/exterior) that came with the original car (except for the motor and transmission) will come with the car and all the new parts bought for it will come with it too. Please take the time to look at the many pictures at this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ve1cxB1TE3Zx7zNoes6AVMzFFv7dFr-W?usp=sharing
