Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is this 1969 ford mustang fastback or sportsroof. The highest bidder wins NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE.I purchased this car to restore but have come to the realization that I have to many projects and have to get rid of quite a few so here are the details on this car. This is a real 1969 fastback not some type of coupe to fastback conversion the vin number is on the dash in the lower drivers side of windshield the vin numbers are also stamped on both the drivers side and the passenger side fender aprons the buck tag is still on the pass side rear fender apron and I also have the original door tag. See pics for all. I have very limited info on this car but here is how the story goes, this car was on the road till about 1992 when it had engine trouble it started running bad no power it went to the mechanic and they ran compression test and found no compression in cylinder number 6 the head was removed to find that a hole was burned through the number 6 piston at that time the car was sold. The new owner decided to restore the car and took some of it apart and also cut the cowl out of it,that's all the further it got.I purchased the car but haven't done much with it, you can still see hole in last piston and cowl is still cut out. I purchased a used engine and transmission for it along with some other parts and they are all included with the auction. this car still has parts of the fold down rear seat and trap door with it I dont know if it came with these or they were added later but they look original to the car it also has power steering you will have to get a marti report to find out all the details and specifics for this car. the car is not salvage I just dont have a title for it you can get one for 257.00 and I will give you the info to do this if you need it.this car needs fully restored and it does have all of the usual mustang rust (see pics) but the rear leaf springs are not pushed up through the trunk like most are and the rear rails look pretty good (see pics). This is actually a really rare car factory 6 cylinder fastback with fold down rear seat etc. Restore it to original make a shelby clone or a mach 1 out of it or possibly a race car pro street or pro touring car the possibilities are endless. e-mail me with any questions.here is how the vin and door tag decodes.
