Recently completed rotisserie restoration on a 1970 Mustang Convertible. The body has all the fiberglassShelby parts added, nbsp;Front fenders, hood, eck lid, ail light paneland quarter scoops. The deck lid and quarter caps are not the exact Shelby type but still have the built in spoiler and lace installed. It has the rear tail lights, ront grill, ront bumper, nd front trim on hood and fenders. I installed the 1970 style front spoiler.I wanted this car to look like the Shelby but did not want any of the emblems or name tags to be present. It is a two tone paint job in Burgandy and Silver. The underside and engine compartment is painted in the same Silver as the side of the car.The Top is a Stay Fast cloth in a Burgandy color with glass windowto match the top of the car. I custom made the gas cap because I did not want to use the rear exhaust ports as the Shelby did. I ran the exhaust out the side because of the rear end assy.[see discription later]. The interior is the Deluxe type with woodgrain dash, lock and molded door panels. It has a console, oodgrain steering wheel and I installed the Shelby type roll bar assy. It has Dakota digital gauges installed with blue lighting. The engine is a 351 windsor with Ford aluminum heads, luminum intake and Holley 750 cfm carb. Chrome oil pan, illet pulleys, olished Cobra valve covers and lots of details are in the engine compartment. It has JBA silver ceramic coated headers, luminum radiator, nd billet hood hinges. The car has a Total Control power rack and pinion with tubular control arms, oil over shocks, nd power disc brakes. It is equipped with a 5 speed transmission with cable clutch. The rear end is a custom independent type with a Jaguar center with disc brakes. It was designed by the boys back at the Shelby plant back in the day and someone found the blueprints and started making the units today. It really is a simple set up to install. The car was just finished and I haven"t even gotten to enjoy, ut it was made with the intentto sell and now is the time. Look at all the pics and you see lots ot nice details with lotsof great parts.
