Car description

Up for sale is my 1954 Ford f100 that has been a part of my life for just over 20 years. My dad and I started with just a shell and spent many a day removing decades of paint and farm life. It lived in the southwest until I brought it to Missouri to begin its restoration. My goal was to have a truck that was nice enough to win at shows, but comfortable and practical enough to drive any time I wanted. The truck waspainted about 8 years ago, but only has around 500 miles on it since being assembled. There aresome nicks in the paint, mainly from working around it in the shop, but otherwise the truck is practically brand new. The two main paint defects areon the tailgate (I had parts stored in the bed while moving it from the paint shop and one of the window channels scratched a quarter size spot)and the inner wheel well of the bed sides (The tires rubbed a bit on hard turns until Ibought a larger "Z" bar for the rear suspension. It isnot noticeable unless you are changing a tire.)She drives great down the road, sounds great and turns heads everywhere I go. This has been a very long termproject for me as I have balanced this with the rest of my life. The only reason I am selling is I now have too many kids for all of us to fit and I would like to buy a hot rod that the whole family can enjoy. The truck is located about an hour south of St. Louis. Please feel free to message me with any questions and I would be happy to answer or even give my cell number. I can send additional photos or setup an inspection as well.

Modifications list:

- Powder coated Fatman Fabrications frame (fully boxed with driveshaft loop) with Mustang II IFS, power rack and pinion steering, and 4-link with coilover rear suspension

- Ford 351W bored .030 over, port matched factory heads, aftermarket cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 650, ceramic coated headers, MSD billet distributor, MSD 6AL ignition box, full Billet Specialties polished front accessory drive (AC compressor, power steering pump with polished aluminum remote resevoir, alternator)

- Ford toploader 4 speed transmission with factory bellhousing, aftermarket hydraulic throwout bearing setup, and internal topmount shifter.

- Ford 9in rear axle with Moser 31 spline axles, 3.89:1 gears, and factory limited slip

- SSBC 4 wheel slotted disc brake setup with dual piston calipers

- 17" American racing Rebel rims

- One of a kindhand stitched interior (Carpet, bench seat, door panels, and headliner)

- Vintage Air HVAC unit

- Ididit steering column with polished aluminum Grant steering wheel

- Power windows and locks with custom switches and keyless entry

- Autometer gages (Tach, Speedo, Water, Battery, Oil, Fuel)

- Custom paint (Black with blue metal flake, modeled after BMW M3 color)

- Body is all steel (Cab, doors, hood and grill are original. Fenders, bed, tailgate, running boards, gravel pan are reproductions. Reproductions are from Mid-fifty and are original thickness)

- Complete Painless wiring kit

- Radiator is reproduction from Mid-fifty. Larger than original but looks like factory. Guaranteed to cool anything. Puller style electric fan.

- All wiring hidden very well in engine bay and through frame

Items I would still do to make it perfect (In my mind anyway):

- Front sway bar (My other hobbies were racing, so I like to take a bit of speed in the corners). She is just fine as is for general cruising.

- Different hood hinge setup (If you know anything about these f100's, you know how much of a pain the factory hood hinges are. These are new hinges, but the factory design was never the greatest. I would go with one of the many aftermarket setups, or just suck it up and enjoy it for what it is...)

- Originally, this truck was sold in the southwest and spent all of its time there until I bought it. It was setup as a farm truck by the dealer with heavy duty rear bumper, huge side mirrors and dual gas tanks. I had planned on keeping the dual tanks, but never got around to installing the second one. The main tank is a polymer unit that is under the cab in the original location. The second tank was originally in the cab behind the bench seat and the fill tube was on the driver side above the standard fill tube. You can still see the hole for the second fill tube in one of the pictures. My plans were to keep the second tank and fill it with race gas when I was feeling abit froggy. The existing fuel pump is an electric Holley inline unit so installation of the second tank would be fairly straightforward.

Have some fun this summer cruising around in this awesome truck!
