All new for 1953, the Ford half-ton F100 pickup truck featured modern styling, updated engineering and what Ford called a "Driverized" cab for comfort. The year 1954 saw few changes to the new design that brought a sleeker appearance than the preceding postwar model, and value that Ford touted as triple economy. This 1954 Ford F100 retains its laser-straight steel body and features a factory Ford powertrain and trim upgrades; combined with period-correct traditional customization, it makes for a modernized two-tone truck that retains its mid-century Ford pickup good looks. The engine was upgraded to a then-futuristic version of the Ford overhead valve Y-block. The 312 CI 90-degree V-8 is equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor and matching intake manifold for improved performance, and is backed up by a 4-speed manual transmission with a floor-mount shifter. The hood was modified with period-perfect louvers and modern hydraulic supports for stylishly improved under-hood airflow and easy access. A contemporary 12-volt electrical system is good for a substantial improvement over the original 6-volt setup. The two-tone burgundy-over-black paint is fronted by a new 1956 Ford chrome grille and protected by a set of chrome bumpers. Bright drip rail, mirrors and badging add a finishing touch. A new front-tinted windshield and glass were installed with new weather stripping for clear forward vision and cabin light. The two-tone treatment continues inside with the custom-upholstered bench seat for classic comfort and an AM/FM CD player for modern entertainment. Oak was used for the side rails and bed, and then secured with stainless-steel strips with a cruiser bicycle ready for the show grounds or the beach. The F100 rides on red-painted steel wheels with baby-moon hubcaps, chrome trim rings and new whitewall radial tires. Call/Text/Email ADAM NOW (716)830-6064 Cell Address:
