I have up for auction a 1949 Ford F-5 Farm truck. It is in running driving condition. This truck has been in our family since 1951. We used this for hauling grain for many years. It originally had a flat head V-8 engine. The engine went bad and we replaced it with a 300 cid ford engine from the early 1980's. The cab does have a few dings and dents from use over the years but no rust through that I could find. The glass is all there but the windshield and one of the side windows are cracked. The truck has been converted to a 12 volt system with all the lights etc being changed also. The transmission was also changed to a synchro gear transmission from the mid 1950's. The truck starts and drives OK. It does have a 2 spd rear axle and that works as it should. The tires all hold air with just some wear from use. The truck also has a box and single acting hoist which works very well. The brakes are not working at this time as one of the wheel cylinders is leaking and it loses brake fluid. The emergency brake does work so that is what we have used. We have used this truck to haul the grain from the threshing machine that we demonstrate at our annual fall festival. The truck has not been used for a couple of years and it needs to find a new home. The truck does have a clear ND title.I have listed this with a low starting price and it will sell. If you have any questions or need more picturesplease email. I would prefer local pickup but if shipping is needed buyer must make own arrangements. Seller will assist with loading etc.
