Car description |
---|
This is a rare 1962 Dodge D200 3/4 ton pickup. I brought this vehicle back to life.I've painstakingly gone through almost every part of this truck piecing it together with mostly original parts.
It has an original slant 6 motor that has been completely gone through with many upgrades. New upgraded carburetor (electric choke), aluminum radiator, electric fan, upgraded alternator, starter motor, fuel pump, fuel filter, water pump, thermostat, heater core, distributor rotor, caps, spark plugs, spark plug wires and all hoses.New sun visors, new carpet, new upholstery, improved wiring system, hazard lights, turn signals, horn, windshield gaskets (front and rear), new floor pans and although it may not look like it, a lot of body work. I like the crusty look and intend to clear coat it. Brakes were completely done and upgraded. New rear drum brakes and improved disc brakes in front.
I recently had the transmission changed from a 3 speed to a 4 on the floor. Gears were too low for street/freeway driving (it's an old farm truck). That combined with the proper gear ratio on the dana rear end, allows for higher cruising speed. I've fully documented the progress and have all receipts.
I'm sure I'm missing a lot and there's just too much to list. There's a bit more to do and I fully intend to keep working on it. Considering it's value and all the work I've already had done, it's a steal.
If you contact me, I'll let you know what all else needs to get done. There will be no surprises. I would like to find a good home for it.
The only reason I'm considering selling it, is because I have a new project for me and my son who is approaching driving age.
