Car description

This is a rare car, possibly a Factory Executive Special Order. Built in 1974 with "Special Handling" Code 999 for paint. This bright red color is not an available color for the Chrysler models, the Newport or New Yorker. It was a extra cost option "special order" on the Imperial LeBaron. The car is equipped oddly, power door locks but no power windows or seats. It hasauto Temperature Controlwhich isn't functioning at the moment. It has the light group and fender skirts too for it's a Newport Custom. Halo style vinyl white roof is in great shape, some dry spotsnear the back bottom but nothing bad. The interior is white seating with Black Carpets and dash board. The build sheet is under the front seat still. It has the nice fender top turn directional lights too.
The car has tilting & Telescopic steering wheel and it also has the "Rim Blow" horn. Took me a while to figure out why my horn was sounding randomly, I was squeezing the steering wheel too hard when turning sometimes.

It's also has the 440 Cubic Inch V8, which wasn't standard and it has dual exhausts too. This is NOT a Lean Burn car, that wasn't introduced to the 440 until 1977 model year. Features the Electronic Ignition which was standard on all Chrysler products in 1974. This is a one year only style Grill and the Tail lamps were only used on the Newport until 1976.

The car was sold by Forrester's Used Cars in North Platte Nebraska on July 28th, 1975 to Chas Beylrle. More than likely, this was sold by Chrysler at auction as a used car. I was an employee of Chrysler back in the 70's and it was very common for Zone Office Executives to order strange color combinations. They always wanted something special that nobody else had, it was a sign of their authority in the pecking order. Often, these cars would be sold at auction rather than to a dealer. The history is unknown on this before July 1975 but it's safe to say that it's an unusual car and more than likely a 1 of 1 with the color and option combinations.
I've owned the car one and a half years and have done nothing but simply maintenance. I'm moving and can't take my collection with me and am force to sell a few. If this sells, the car has to be picked up in 4 weeks. My house is for sale and it can't be here. There will be a storage charge of 80 per week (pro rata) if it's not picked up 4 weeks from the close of the auction. Deposit in 72 hours of $500.00 If the car isn't picked up in 9 weeks of the auction close, the sale will be cancelled and deposit forfeited. I'm moving and won't have time to deal with stupid stuff if the buyer flakes out. So if you buy, intend on purchasing it please. I paid $6,000.00 plus buyers premium from a Mecum auction in November of 2017. The car is now registered in Virginia and comes with a Virginia Title. I'm starting the auction with NO RESERVE at a price lower than I paid for the car.

I reserve the right to end the auction early and sell locally if there are no active bidders.
