Car description

Up for sale today is my 1981 GMC Sierra Grande K1500. This truck is in very good condition. I am the 2nd caretaker of this 4wd beast. This truck was originally purchased in Arkansas and has been in the Hot Springs Ar area its entire life. The original owner cared for this truck up until 2 years ago. It was restored and updated more than a few years ago and then his wife passed and the truck was stored in a barn from 2007 until I purchased it and put it back on the road. I have a folder full of receipts that will go with the purchase that includes a copy of the original title, the purchase invoice from the dealer, many sales parts and other invoices throughout the years. Most of the repair work was completed at the local Hot Springs Chevy and Gmc dealer. I a;so have the history report for this truck. This amazing truck has a low mileage balanced and blueprinted 406 sbc that was machine shop built and installed at the Chevy dealer. The engine features Brodix aluminum heads, roller rockers, Crane .490/.510 performance cam, long tube headers and dual exhaust. Holley EFI and MSD ignition. All of the accessories were installed back on the engine. The dealer also installed the Holley EFI system and it works and performs very well. The engine is easily 400+ hp and if not careful will get away from you. 4.11 gear ratio and posi rears. The engine will break the tires loose at 40 mph with power to spare. Although this truck has dual tanks due to the efi it only uses 1 of them. This truck is equipped with power steering, power brakes, automatic hubs, manual windows (they are my favorite due to the problematic power windows assoc with this body style) manual door locks, A/C and a sliding back glass. This truck can be driven daily without any problems. The a/c is not working and is still r12. Miles are not correct however actual mileage is unknown. I was told by the original owner that this was a low mileage truck but due to the 5 digit odo and it not working I cannot say for certain. Autocheck gives a score of 84 which is considerably higher than most I see.The exterior of the truck has been painted in a pearl blue metallic which is very close to the original blue color of the truck. The truck is beautiful and although not perfect is very nice. No body panels have been replaced and has very little rust. I've tried to take pics of the issue areas a bit of rust in the behind behind a rear wheel and inside the right rear of the bed . This truck was never really used as a truck, the inside of the bed is in very good condition. You will not be disappointed with this truck. The underside of the truck is almost as nice as the top side. The doors open and shut like it was new.The inside of the truck features the original rubber mat but the seat has been recovered in cloth. The only issue i have with this truck and if it does not sell i will likely update the dash and remove the tach, speedo and knock sensor off the top of the dash. If you are a shorter person it is almost in your line of sight. The factory radio is still in the dash. There are no speakers so the radio has no sound. The 31x10.5x15 BFG all terrain KO2's are brand new and have less than 100 miles on them. They are mounted on 8" rally wheels. Now for the business end of things. If you must get permission to buy this truck please do so before bidding. I am not a bank and do not finance. I ask for a non-refundable deposit of $500 no more than 24 hrs after the auction closes. The balance is due in several ways, Cash upon pick up ispreferred. I have taken other options but if you feel the need to send acashierscheck it will be verified and deposited prior to releasing the truck.By bidding you agree to these and understand that your winning bid is a binding contract and there is no warranty expressed or implied. The Arkansas title is clean and is not a salvage title. The truck should be picked no longer than 7-10 days after the auction. If this is a issue or if you are overseas I understand it takes a bit longer to make thosearrangements. If more time is needed please call me. Local, national, or international buyers are welcome. Payment is expected in USD.As far as shipping, I have been known to make short deliveries for a fee. I also have a shipper in place that can help get the truck to you and avoid all those annoying emails and phone calls from shippers trying to give quotes. The truck is also for sale locally so it is possible for this auction to end early. If you have ANY questions, would like to make an appointment to come and look at it prior to the end of the sale, need or want more pictures (I have plenty), feel the need to make an offer on either of the trucks I am listing. I am available most any day before 2pm central time. Feel free to call or text 870-917-4381. The white k10 in the last pic is listed in aseparateauction. We can make a deal on either or both!
