Car description

I'm listing this car for a friend. It is a frame off restored 1957 Chevy 2 door Bel Air hardtop that has been modernized for improved performance, handling and comfort. This is an impressive custom in its presentation, performance and detail. It is a real head turner that presents itself well over other customs wherever shown. Below is an overall breakdown of the car. Further information can be obtained by contacting the owner (Mike) at 207-642-4396 between 5:00- 10:00 PM EST. Details:

Chassis/ Drive Train/ Power Plant

Under the hood resides a professionally rebuilt Chevy 454 (bored .30" over) mated to a professionally rebuilt GM 700 R4 overdrive transmission. Both engine and transmission have less than 600 miles of use. Power is supplied to a 3.70 ratio posi trac rear differential. Wheels consist of BF Goodrich T/A 225/70/15 on front and 255/60/15 on back and mounted on REV chrome rims (fronts 15" x 7”, rears 15" x 8”). Body is attached to a powder coated frame with new body mounts. Exhaust is via headers feeding into a dual system of 2 ½" stainless piping and mufflers. Braking is done by a power brake booster, with front discs and rear drums. All brake components are new. The car has an all new power steering system. The under hood area is neatly laid out and well detailed. The battery is a gel type mounted in the trunk.

Exterior

Paint is basecoat/clearcoat Crimson Red that was wet sanded and buffed to a high luster. The body panels are straight with no waves or orange peel and the gaps are even. Chrome bumpers and chrome exterior pieces have a fresh chrome appearance. Stainless trim is very presentable.

Interior

Interior is black with light grey headliner. Door panels, rear side panels and seats are in matching Naugahyde. Flooring is black molded looped carpet. Front seats are buckets from a 1965 Impala. Dash is all digital consisting of Dakota instrument cluster, AM/FM radio and clock. A Grant wooden steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit chrome tilt steering column. Glass is slight tint throughout the car. An LED third brake light is mounted on the rear shelf.
