1957 Chevy Belair 2 Door Hardtop Sport Coupe was restored in a very meticulous way approximately 10 years ago and has been garage kept and only driven during the summer months since and has about 1500 miles since restoration. The goal of this car was to be as original as possible but make it GO! So a Big Block 468ci was built and installed backed by a Turbo 400 transmission with a 2800 stall converter. The engine features Harlend Sharp Roller Rockers, ual Quad Carbs, ete Jackson Gear Drive and Jardine Headers to just name a few. The beefed up rear end is Posi and has 4-11 gears. The exhaust sets the tone that you have arrived! The car runs and drives excellent... the brakes are drum and work quite well... the steering is power assist (forgive me if my terminology is wrong here) but the car is easy to steer but doesn't have power steering. The exterior of the car still shows exceptionally well as you can see from the photos and the interior is just as great. The pictures are not lying. The chrome on the car is mostly great but with a few exceptions such as the door handles have pitted from time... chrome trim on the 2 pieces of back glass have pitted. The brand new 17" staggered wheels are a torque thrust style wheel with Falken tires. The tires are 255's in the rear and 235's in the front.
