Car description |

The 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle coupe is the end of an era. The iconic hardtop style was coming to an end, and so this one goes out with a bang thanks to a standout paint, a custom interior, and a performance big block under the hood. The silver really gets this coupe noticed everywhere it goes. It's in-line with the period-correct color, but the investment in a modern clearcoat finish means it has a precious metal tone that looks great when the sunshine hits it. But more than just shine, there's a darker side to this Super Sport. The dual stripes that highlight the cowl induction hood, blacked-out grille, and the large 18-inch graphite gray Boss wheels. Add in nice chrome bumpers and proper SS badging throughout, and you soon realize that no matter if you love the light or the dark side of this coupe, it's all out to impress. One look inside, and you get more reminders of why this car is a cut-above. The fresh seats look great in a period-correct pattern, but as you look closer, details like the SS stitching lets you know this is a custom investment. And speaking of the seats, having buckets up front is always a desirable choice. It leaves room for the artful center console and the iconic horseshoe shifter that makes this coupe really feel like a Super Sport should. It has all the right upgrades for the driver, including the Grant three-spoke sports steering wheel, proper round gauge dash, and auxiliary readouts. Plus, there's a AM/FM/CD stereo, but we already know what your favorite soundtrack will be. It's irresistible just roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and listen to the rumble of the dual exhaust. You could still get a big block from the factory in 1972, but nothing that ran like this one. A newer 1990s 454 cubic-inch V8 was stuffed between the fenders and given plenty of performance upgrades. This includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer 2.0 aluminum intake, chrome valve covers, Accel distributor, Aluminum radiator w/electric fan, and long tube headers. A snarky dual exhaust system gives the big block a baritone rumble. Plus, with a TH350 three-speed automatic and a 10-bolt rear end, you know you can reliably back up this Chevelle's bark with serious bite. But when it comes to just being a nice cruiser, this one has it well in hand, too. Features like the power steering, front disc brakes, and modern Hankook Ventus V12 rubber at each corner make this a nice anytime ride. This Chevelle gets its attitude right and stands out in all the best ways. It's a thoughtful build to commemorate the iconic hardtop design, but all you really care about is how it can still scare the lesser cars on a Saturday night. A package this nice won't stick around long. Call today!!!
