Car description

For sale is a 1957 Chevy that started life as a stock 210 sedan. I purchased the car from the family of the original owner in January 2012 and began the restoration a year later. I’ve put close to 8,000 trouble free miles on the car since including a 1,500 mile road trip in June of this year. The car drives down the road straight, has enough power to have a little fun, and doesn’t break the bank for fuel economy. I’m just ready to move on to the next project! Details are as follows.

Driveline – Blueprint Engines 383, part BP3833CT1, with a roller cam and vortec heads. Motor dyno results were 435 horsepower and 450 torque. Chassis dyno results were 330 horsepower and 388 torque. Engine has long tube headers leading to 3” pipe and Summit Street/Strip mufflers dumping just before the rear axle. The engine is fed by a FITech Go EFI 4 600hp fuel injection unit. The transmission is a Summit Racing 700r4 going to a 3.55 posi rear end. Going 70 it runs about 2,300rpms. With the aluminum radiator and electric fan the car runs cool all day long; even with the A/C on!

Body – The car was updated to have the 150 trim package. The original 210 beltline and window trim was retained. The car was bead blasted uncovering some holes in the floorboards so a new one piece floor was installed. The trunk tail pan was also replaced. The firewall is smoothed. Inside the fenders, trunk, and top/bottom of the floor pan was coated in bed liner. The rear doors are fully functional however the exterior handles were shaved to give the car a smooth look. Fuel injection emblems were also added. All stainless has been polished and all of the chrome is new.

Interior – The interior is a factory ’57 150 sedan kit from Ciadella. There is some minor customization including black vinyl on the door panel bottom, bucket seat carpet, and ’55 Chevy carpet weave (Daytona) versus the traditional loop. The front seats are Procar buckets. I have extra silver vinyl and cobblestone pattern for the front buckets to make them match the rear set. Included is the original bench seat frame and foam. The floor boards were covered in FatMat. There is all new glass, weather stripping, and channels. The dash has not been modified and includes BelAir dash trim. The car has Dakota Digital VHX gauges with the matching clock. The gauges are white/silver faced with red backlighting. Steering column is a tilt column from Speedway Motors.

Other Updates – The car has power brakes with front discs and rear drums. The parking brake assemblies are intact and functional. The car has 2” dropped spindles in the front and 1.5” drop blocks in the rear. New leafs, springs, shackles, etc. The car has a CPP power steering kit, all new plumbing from Right Stuff Detailing, and a new fuel tank with sending unit. The car has a Vintage Air A/C and heat unit and an upgraded electric wiper motor. The car rides on 17” US Mags, 7” in the front and 8” in the rear.
