Car description |
---|
1974 Buick Century Gran Sport sport coupe. Needs restoration or drive as it is. Runs and drives good. One brake caliper hangs up once in a while.
I bought this car about 3 years ago in Joliet Illinois. I got it from a guy who bought it in the early 80's. He did an amateur restoration at that time. He bought it from the original owners. Clear title.
The body looks good. It does have body filler popping out throughout the car. See pictures. The color is mediterranean blue, with white bench seat interior. The body appears straight but again, does have body filler and some rust popping out. See pictures. Bumpers were replaced in the early 80's. Real nice shape.
Floors in the car look real solid. Trunk is average. Can see two rust spots on each side of the floor. This car is not a rust bucket. Just being honest. Mostly body work and re installation of interior and trim.
Engine is a 455 V8. Looks to be all stock. Runs well. But is old. I don't think it's ever been apart. Turbo 400 shifts good. Performance rear axle. Factory chrome wheels. Air conditioning components were removed. Looks to be all in the box in the picture.
Headliner has small tear. Carpet pulled. Door panels/trim there. Useable and restorable. Seats good. Dash good. Original radio. Sport steering wheel added by me. Original steering wheel goes with the car. Glass appears original and good. I have new weather stripping that goes with the car.
When I got the car I documented it with the sloan museum report. All included. Most everything in that paperwork is still on the car! See pictures.
These cars are low in production numbers. If you've been looking you see what they are bringing. I know my needs restored. But it is a running driving gran sport.
The car is sold as is. Have it inspected. See pictures. I mostly collect Mopars. My Dad had the same car when i was a kid. That's why I bought it. I just have too much going on and cannot give the car the time it needs.
I have a dealer resale certificate. all paperwork work will be as per Nebraska law. I am a one man operation.
Negative or zero feedback or low feedback members must contact me prior to bidding. Or I will remove your bid. I am a straght shooter. I get a little more windy in my descriptions but you can never have too much info dealing on the scary world wide web.
The car is sold AS IS. There is no COD. Money wire transfer is perfered. Or bank check. Funds must clear my account prior to the car leaving my garage.
This is a great investment. These cars continue to climb in value. Any questions call me anytime Bernie at Superior Auto 402 733 7760 Im in Omaha Nebraska about 2 miles off I-80. Industrial area. Easy transport truck pickup room.
Thanks and good luck!
