Listing for a friend,
This is a good running street gasse, registered and titled in my name as a 1940 Willys coupe using the original 40 VIN tag on a 40 Willys chassi, with a 41 center section . Completely street lega, everything is new or rebuilt . It rides like a Gasser .
This started as a wrecked Willys Gasser Coupe I found in Maine, The car was crashed bad to the point the rear of the roof was ripped off. So i rebuilt the body shell with a piece from a fiberglass body I had . The back half of the roof is from the glass car everything else is steel. The fenders front and rear are stee, hoo, center section, trunk lid is stee, the doors i made from sedan doors and are steel also . Grill and headlights are original not aftermarket .The floors are made from steel sheet metal .
The chassis is a mint 40 Willys chassis sand blasted and painted flat black. All new springs and chassis parts were used with a WAC custom built front axle . Ford spindles and disc brakes on the front . The 57 olds rear axle is all new rebuilt Posi 30, 31 spline axles and brakes . Vintage Cragar SS wheels front and rear with new cheater slicks and skinny front runners.
The interior is a set of buckets from Summi, they are new and comfortable . Tuck n roll door panel, kick panels and behind the seat, headliner is roughed in place . Series 60 B&M shifte, old SW gauge, seat belt, 4 point cag, functional gas pedal from an old drum se, yes it is what you use to wack the throttle . All new tinted glass and channels rubbers etc .
The motor is a 331 HEM, had it bored to 3.98 , sonic tested the bloc, new 7.5:1 Venoila blower pistons and used new Childs and Albert aluminum rods spinning on a 5/8 stroked crank you have a 421 CU IN HEMI . The motor uses studs top and botto, oil pump was ported and polishe, I run the blower at 5 over to keep it from heating up in the florida heat .. The motor is full of all the best parts from hot heads . The Triple 5 heads have stainless valve, spring, blower ca, hyd. lifter, from hot head, HH timing cove, BBCH water pum, hidden alternato, MSD electronic dizzy with a bo, 671 supercharger w/ 2 500 cfm carter/edelbrock carb, MPH scoo, patina chrome valve covers.
The custom made 2.5 " fender well headers are HPC coated back in the late eighties and still look top notch .I attached the motor to a fresh 2 spd powerglid, reverse valve body race ready transmission with a 2500 stall converter and again to a POSI olds /pontiac rear .
Took about a year or more full time to put it togethe, I have been building cars for over 40 year, know what i am doing as this is Willys number 21 .
Will sell to international buyer, you will need to make all shipping arrangement, do a wire transfer for payment and are welcome to have someone come and inspect the car prior to sale .
Don't need the mone, space or excuse, looking for a serious buyer . Trades never work so NO TRADE, cash or bank wire only accepted .Shoot me a number and time to reach you at if you want to talk about the car.
