What makes this car so rare? Volvo 240's are rare to begin with, but in 1993, only 1600 Volvo 240's were made in Burgundy and Green paint coloring. Of those 1600, this car is the 10th newest in existence, and is, in all probability, the newest Volvo 240 Classic in circulation today. This car was purchased as a one-owner car with 131K miles and imported into the US from Quebec City in Canada. The original owner was a volvo enthusiast and serviced the car regularly. An estimated 60,000 additional miles were put on the car, but the real mileage is unknown because the odometer no longer functions. This is a common problem with these older volvos. There is some body and mechanical wear present, but overall the car is in great working condition.- Great condition tires (2 new, 2 great condition)- Two new tires are included in the sale- The original gauge cluster (with metric speedometer and odometer) is included in the sale- Recently serviced- Recently painted- Black cloth interior is very clean and in great condition considering the ageThe car runs great, but I would not recommend buying this car as a daily driver due to its age and rarity. Some other things to mention: - Original head-unit removed, replaced with a pioneer head-unit- Original gauge cluster replaced for import from a US-car ; the original gauge cluster will be included in the saleUnfortunately this car has some defects that may inconvenience but can certainly be repaired:- Gauge cluster not working, including odometer- Original speakers removed- Shifter mechanism has some slight damage, needs safety button aligned to the park position for the ignition to fire
