Car description |

My wife and I always wanted a Volvo 240 wagon. We searched for the nicest one we could fine and purchased it last year from a private owner. It's actually a Classic. They only made 800 wagons and 800 sedans in 1993. This is number 93/1600. A very collectible car.
We had a Volvo specialist (who works on older models especially) do any and all repairs they thought it should need and spent a lot doing that. Unfortunately, we never drive it. It's been a year and the car barely has seen any use. We make sure to start it up once in a while to make sure to keep the engine moving. But, now we are facing the reality that this is not something we are going to use.
Condition:Body is excellent. It is a greenish-blue color. Interior is excellent also. When we purchased it, the odometer stopped working (which our mechanic says is common in these cars) so we'll over estimate that the car has about 125,000 miles on it. The odometer says 118,000. It has brand new tires. Clean interior and exterior and also clean on the bottom of the car. It's in very good condition for the age. The cassette player doesn't work. The heated seats don't seem to work. Also, the air conditioning JUST went out. It was working a couple of weeks ago but the mechanic says it may need to be recharged.
We can supply a list of things we had repaired. The car drives great. Just had a tune up and over $3000 in work done. See photos for the list of items we've done since we bought it in the past year. Solid brick!
