This 1980 Volvo 240 wagon has been a project for me over the last year and it is time to sell as I no longer have the time needed to continue the restoration. It came to me from Oregon where it had lived almost since new. Since it spent the majority of its life in the high desert, the car is rust free and in great condition for its age. It is arguably the most reliable vehicle I have and is very simple to maintain. This 240 was my daily driver last summer and spent this winter in a heated garage away from the road salt. The car comes with records and receipts, spare parts, factory manuals and a second set of tires and wheels. Recent maintenance items include: - Full tune up (plugs, wires, cap and rotor) - Timing belt replacement - Water pump replacement - Oil change with Volvo filter - Fuel filter change - Air filter change - Coolant flush - Brake inspection Known issues: - Paint on front fender and rear tailgate are weathered due to sun exposure (desert car) - AC does not work, but full system is in place (heater is amazing) - Rear wiper is inoperable (have replacement cable to go with car) - Front leatherette seats are cracked and have covers on them - Mileage is likely over the indicated number (common Volvo 240 issue) Given my location in the center of the rust belt, this 240 wagon is not a common vehicle, much less one without any signs of rust or corrosion. If you are from the Midwest or Northeast and want a rust free 240 wagon, this is a great way to save on shipping cost. I am happy to answer any questions about the vehicle. This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time should the vehicle sell locally.
