Up for sale is a very rare, st year 1980 265, ka 240, 45, iesel wagon with 92k miles. It is the only year for the diesel wagon with the early dash (which doesn't even have a single crack in it), nd early tail lights. It has the D24 6-cylinder factory Diesel engine that was made for Volvo by VW/Audi. The engine smokes. It runs OK otherwise, nd starts with ease. Even when we were -10ºF last winter, t started up with no trouble. It can be driven, ut I haven't driven it more than about 100 miles total since I have owned it. It is antique tagged in DE through October 2016 and passed Delaware inspection last October 2014. The car is nearly rust free except one small spot on the drivers side rocker which was difficult to get a good picture of, o I didn't. It has a manual M46, speed transmission with the factory Laycock J Type electronic overdrive and a supposedly new clutch. The overdrive works properly and the clutch does not slip and feels to be in good shape. It has 4 nearly brand new snow tires. Windshield was replaced with the OE Pilkington (OE supplier of the glass) windshield last October. This car is very solid. Floors and behind the wheels are in excellent shape. A very rare find. The interior seats are not perfect, s the tan vinyl didn't hold up well on any 200 series. The headiner is not great either, ut as previously mentioned, he dash has no cracks. The remainder of the interior is very clean. Included in the sale is a 1984 245 diesel wagon (not pictured, on't have a way to take pictures at this time) which is strictly a parts car. The parts car has a good engine, ood manual transmission, nd a bunch of other good parts. We were planning to swap the engine from the parts car to the brown car. It does not smoke and I am told it uses almost no oil. We purchased that vehicle from a customer and know it to be a good engine. The brown 1980 265 has a clear Delaware title. The gray 1984 245 diesel parts car has a PA title which we signed as the buyer. We have no intention to title the car, nd never did. The parts car is in poor condition (severe body rot and dents) and is strictly a parts car. Have other projects and am trying to be realistic about what we want to keep.I will also include all of the parts that I have for the 265, hat is, rand-new parts such as, ut not limited to:Set of Contitech timing beltsContitech accessory beltsOE Volvo motor mounts which are no longer availableOE Volvo heater hoses which are no longer availableOE Volvo breather hose which are also no longer availableBosal replacement header/downpipe, hich is also no longer available Single piece updated rubber valve cover gasket6-new Bosch glow plugsTailgate wiring harnessesUsed set of tailgate hingesand more that isn't mentioned...Available at an extra cost:Partial set of factory tools to properly work on this engine. (Tools ONLY available at an extra cost)As mentioned, ost of these parts that are included are no longer available from Volvo or aftermarket. I am NOT interested in separating the parts or the cars. Selling the cars ONLY as a pair, nd the parts with the sale of the car. The '80 is located in Wilmington, E 19810 and the '84 parts car is in Wilmington, E 19804. The '84 may be moved to Newark, E 19702 prior the the end of the auction. With a little work, his car would be a great car, nd would really turn heads. Selling AS IS.
