Offered for sale is a 1967 VOLVO P130 AMAZON with only 61,757 miles. Color is midnight blue with burgundy interior. The transmission is a BW35. Of all the AMAZON sedans that VOLVO produced, the 1967 series is considered the best year for several reasons. The intake and exhaust manifolds, in conjunction with the "3 Bolt" SUs, is by far the best set up. The rear suspension and rear axle assembly is the best of all the years and far superior to the pre-1967 models. Compared to the 1967 models, the earlier cars have a weaker rear end and suspension. The rest of the car is similar to all of the years except for the 1968 series which have many Federal requirements which I feel take away from the overall appearance of the cars. This car is in exceptional (mostly) original condition and is a "turn key" car that can be driven anywhere. I own an operate Carriage Motors of Wiscasset, Maine and I have performed all the maintenance on this car since it had only 5,800 miles. Servicing and restoring VOLVO AMAZONs for over 46 years, I refer to this car as a "rust free" car that is one of the finest examples that I have seen. It most certainly is the most rust free 122 that I have seen and I have seen thousands and thousands of them. With the car goes all the paper work and service records. The car has been repainted a long time ago and could stand some touching up or a re-paint. The paint is okay but not up to the condition of the rest of the car. Mechanically the car is perfect and always has been. I concentrated the pictures on the floors and the trunk area to give you an idea of how rust free the car is. All the paint on the floors and trunk area is original. Surely a very rare 122 P130.
