Car description |
---|
This is a rare Volvo, esigned and built at the Bertone factory in Italy. From 1987 through 1991 fewer than 11,000 of these 780 Bertones were built. They commanded a price of $40,000 . . . in 1990 dollars! All 780s were equipped with automatic transmissions and power moonroofs. This stylish car has the practicality of a Volvo, ith better performance and comfort. It also has the handling and tiny turning circle of rear-wheel drive. This Bertone was first sold in Texas, nd soon moved to California. I bought it in the Los Angeles area in 2002, hen it had 112,000 miles on it. It now has 249k miles, nd is a very strong runner (the strongest of the four I have owned). It has the 2300 cc turbo four, ne of the most reliable engines ever built. The timing belt is new, nd suspension components are recent. Serviced regularly at Volvo Pit Stop in Glendale, alifornia, ith all records available. No dents, nly a couple of dings. Broken corner marker lens, vailable on eBay.

I've added some interior photos so you can see the dash cracks and the driver's seat stich separation. The rear seat is in good shape, ut the brake light was separated when the photo was taken. Also shown are the clearcoat blemishes and the cracking of the quarter panel. The broken corner marker light is shown; this is more recent than the other front photos.
