This bus is Pre-SMOG and as a 73 type 2 bus also was the first bus year to have a safe front bumper crash zone for the occupants. I have been restoring this 1973 VW bus. I wanted to finish it but school got in the way and slowed down progress. I now need a down payment and have to sell my project bus. I have spent more than $16,000 restoring it plus the bus cost and cant finish it even though it is so close to being complete. I have many receipts for services and parts on the bus. It needs an interior. I have two front seat with headrests. There is new weatherstripping already installed on slider, ass door, rear hatch, trunk lid.I also do have all the original windows and even a new Euro special order sliding window for the best airflow. I have nearly $2500 in brand new arts in boxes to put it together. There are many boxes full of gorgeous brand new parts for the bus that are uninstalled resting inside the bus. Emblems, hrome trim, eadliner rods, eat belts, nterior panels, eatherstripping, ights, nobs, lectrical components, glove box, oor handles, ront vent windows, ront door window trim, oor trim... and more to put it back together. I was driving it around registered and insured last summer before I disassembled it for paint and body work so the brakes have been serviced, t has a new starter, nd the steering drag link is brand new. The new paint is a 2 stage cherry red. The plan was a red and tan bus on big wheels and a limo style interior. I have the stock VW wheels with complete set of hubcaps that it will be sold with. I mocked up a lot ofMercedesrims. Come check it out anytime. It has always been a California car and is crash free and almost completely rust free. The only rust was in one of the middle seat floor mounts. Nothing major. The car spent most of its life in Southern California desert areas. I had the motor serviced by a S.O.S Customs here in Oceanside,CA. They put new lifter tubes, new clutch, rebuilt carbs. *I ordered the customBrazilianstyle bumper for the bus to clean up the front and it just came in at bus depot but needs to be payed for. So if you want it with the bus maybe we can work something out. No worries if you don't.Please feel free to message me with a phone number to call or text if you have questions. And of course I can answer your questions simply by messages as well.
